"Pagey 10:15 Thu Jan 26 'How it’s the favourite to win Best Picture at the Oscars is truly beyond me.' It's because it's up against that pretentious Banshees shit. Auteur film-making, don't you know. In quite big capital letters."

"Everything Everywhere All at Once is an almighty humongous pile of horrific shit. I had to switch off after an hour, and I rarely do that with any film. Maybe the second half of it suddenly became incredible?! How it’s the favourite to win Best Picture at the Oscars is truly beyond me."

Agree. Everything Everywhere All the Time was non sense. Trouble is it's getting Rave reviews. Feels bit like the Emporers new clothes in that if you can't see the genius in it then you must be thick. I must be thick then.

"Watched ""All The Presidents Men"" again last night for the first time in years, and it's a real masterpiece and a fabulous cast. I don't think Redford gets enough credit because he has a hell of a history of top films."

"Council Scum 6:31 Sun Jan 8 Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022) Watched The Pale Blue eye. Expected more. Watched it last night, thought it was ok as it goes. No product placement racial casting or woke agenda stuff, so that made it easier to watch"

"Watched ""Spotlight"" again the other day. If anyone hasn't seen it , watch it, great performances from Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffolo. For bizarre, there is a documentary on Netflix called The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker. Life indeed is stranger than fiction!"

"Watched the Whitney Houston film. Great voice but the woman looked nothing like her and was from Walthamstow and didn't sing, so a bit pointless really. Lips were far too big. Long film, good music"

"Watched two decent films over the weekend both were enjoyable. Equalizer 2 was a very enjoyable romp, l like a good vigilante film and Denzil is always good value. The action scenes weren't over long, no 10 minute car chases that bores the fuck out of you. Also watched The Good Nurse, with Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne, based on a true story and equally enjoyable if that's the right word for a story about a serial killer!"

Watched The Menu. A bit quirky and something a bit different. Ralph Fiennes plays the sinister chef well. Doesn’t overdo it in my opinion.
