"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"It's listed as 80,000 now on wikipedia, but I was sure it held 100,000 as well. Also thought Metlife held less than Fedex Field. TBH I don't know why they didn't make Metlife 100k plus, They could easily sell the tickets."

"Northern Sold 12:32 Thu Jan 5 That list is mad isn't it. I think the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T stadium is the largest NFL capacity approx 100k - their record attendance is 105k, unless they have now had to reduce it."

"It's generally NFL in the North of the country and College in the south. The rivalries are huge, and so is the college game- Michigan University's stadium holds over 100,000 people. Fucking nuts. Can you imagine even 50 people turning up to watch Lincoln play Bournemouth at football?"

Ha Ha Ha!! I might have to watch that again that was a excellent view... Yeah the game is absolutely massive out there isn't it... I think a lot of it comes down there is only X amount of NFL teams and that is it... and if a franchise move out of your state what are you left with?? A lot of those Mid West civilians only have College/High School games in their area so it's massive for them.... Me and the missus took in a High School game down in Clearwater... was superb... probably a good couple of thousand there watching 15/16 year olds do their stuff... my MATE played football (SOCCER) on a scholarship for Florida Tech... broke all sorts of records and got voted their sportsman of the millennium!! He said it was not unusual to play in front of 50 or 60k... after he then joined Rochdale and played infront of 2000 if he was lucky!!

"Funny you say that, I saw something similar (for the only time) in San Fran on the day Oakland lost a playoff game against the Jets. I've been in Orlando on the day when Florida U played FSU but the rivalry was good natured. Personally I can't understand why college sports is so massive there. Even people who never went to Uni follow a team. I bet the redneck who poisoned the Auburn oaks didn't have a degree!"

Been to the US shit loads of times and the only shit I ever saw being given to anyone was a bloke wearing a NY Yankees baseball cap in San Fran'... he was getting and giving back loads of shit... have to admit most of the abuse went right over my head.... Funniest thing I ever heard was at a meal where some Aussie bloke was having a pop at some yank about murdering Phar lap !!

Yeah see that a few years back Woodford... abso classic... that phone in show trying to find out who poisoned the Auburn Oak Trees that had been in their grounds for 100's of years... ag ag ag!! Also watched the Trojan War one about the USC and their showdowns with Texas.... really enjoyed that... like I said seems to be far more bitter rivalries in the College scene...

Been watching a few of the 30 for 30 ESPN docs.... cracking one last night... Catholics v Convicts... about the intense rivalry between Notre Dame and Miami University in the late 80's... got so bad in the end that the authorities pulled the plug them playing each other anymore.... does seem to be far more bigger rivalries and needle in the College set up rather than the NFL....

"shorty, we've made very little progress. we signed a cornerback on a massive contract who seems more interested in conflict and mouthing off, he should just defend and shut the fuck up, andcandc our secondary is still poor. we have almost no pass rush or run defence yet gruden persists with the 3-4 system. we have our two main receivers and cousins out of contract very soon. on tonights should showing, cousins can go. I like rob kelly but he was done no favours tonight with mcvey constantly calling runs straight in to a wall of giants defenders. please sell up Snyder and fuck off"

Miike. The good thing is. You're heading in the right direction. Last season. No one wanted to win the NFC East. This season nearly three teams made it to the playoffs.

3rd time a charm. Crystal. But I don't think we will even make it. The one weapon the Cowgirls and the Pats have over most teams is fear. And that's something neither team has on the Giants.

"The irrelevant victor cruz said similar shorty! The only team id want to face in the superbowl more than the giants is the lions/redskins. Would much rather see the giants than the cowboys, seahawks, packers or falcons as they have zero offense and a good but not great defence that brady will exploit"

"crystal, we replaced that useless cսnt haslett with an even bigger one in joe barry. one if the few coaches to have 0-16 season. they did nothing in the draft to remedy the problem a we had during the wild card game last year where fat so lacey and even john kuhn ran straight through us. I wish snyder would just sell up as he's been a curse on the franchise"
