"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

I'd be over the moon if my mob had a record as good as the jets this season!

"Cough - I feel for the Vikes. They're like a mid-west version of the imploding Jets! When I look at the line-up on paper, they should be brutal and in the mix in the NFC north. But, like our lot, they just manage to under-perform every time."

"TM - yep, we've had a lot of injuries, and they clearly haven't helped. But that's only part of the story. The previously-excellent defensive line has not been the same since Wilkerson decided he wanted away (he's playing at around 80%, and it shows) and Sheldon Richardson got stung for PEDs - he hasn't been the same player since (read into that what you will!). Revis' rapid demise has added to things - and has been painful to watch. I genuinely think he's one of the two best cover cornerbacks ever to play the game (at his peak, the ""island"" tag wasn't an exaggeration in any way whatsoever). But his body can't handle the demands placed on him now, and he's a shadow of his former self. Still a decent player, but it's painful watching Revis be just decent. He was unquestionably the best in his position for many years. So the defense, which has been our saving grace for many years, is this year as incompetent and ineffective as the woeful offense. Letting Ivory go was a bad call, however much the Jags paid him, and paying Fitz $12m this year was way over the top. He thrived last year because he had two great targets (Marshall and Decker) and Ivory's presence in the backfield drew a second member of the opposition's secondary up to the line of scrimmage very often, creating space for the wide-outs. Forte was a good RB years back, but can be handled with single-man coverage these days - leaving every opponent free to double-team Marshall or Decker."

"southbank, I feel for you and the other jets fans. so much potential but always fall short. I thought you'd go the playoffs this season but as per usual, Fitzpatrick went back to his usual form. haven't you had a lot of injuries too?"

"You're right, though, TM - Barry was a shambolic appointment for the 'skins. It was the sort of move you often see from the Jets. Or Cleveland!"

"At least in Cousins you have a quaterback who you can rebuild around (however overpriced he is). I'd take that for the Jets right now - we haven't had a decent QB since the injury-prone Pennington. And, before that, you have to go back to Namath (maybe I'm being harsh on O'Brien). But for a long-established franchise to have had just two good quarterbacks in their entire history says everything about the people who have been running the show!"

"so are the skins. not sure who green lighted the appointment of our defensive co-ordinator Joe Barry, but they just continued ther shit we had with Haslett. Barry's sixteen loss season with the Lions should have put off the cսnt of an owner from hiring him"

"The Jets are so done this season, that our head coach (Todd Bowles) has been admitted to hospital with chest pains and may well miss today's game against the Patsies. Mind you, watching my lot this year has involved many heart attack moments, so I can't blame the big fella'. It has been shocking - but then what's new. It's the hope that kills you. Here's to a (highly unlikely) bounce back in 2017..."

"Saints are done, maybe for a few years. On the bright side, my fantasy team is in the semi finals. Looking for big days today from Luck, Freeman, Bryant (actually Monday or really Tuesday) and - though it would be bittersweet at this point - Ingram. Melvin Gordon my surprise package is out but hopefully back for the final."

"Interestingly, the past time Miami won in buffalo, Moore started the game. Still think the bills will win though. Battles of our shite tonight burnsy. Amazingly we have the 4th best running game in the NFL, though the worst passing! Gurley or Hyde have to be musts for first TD with both teams abysmal defences."

"Dolphins only need to win this weekend to get a wildcard I believe? Think Matt Moore is a pretty decent back up actualy, looked pretty good the last game and a bit(granted it was only the Jets) and a few seasons ago when he started he had a pretty decent record. More concerened about em going to the Bills this time of year actualy."

"i noticed you had a lot of injuries. I completely fucked up my WRs this year and was lucky to get the Chargers Williams when I did. Hopkins has been poor this year, how the Texans have paid out so much for Ostweiler is amusing. what was it, $70m? I know it's not all guaranteed but it's scarey how desperate some teams are for a half decent QB"
