"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

eagles are a good shout cough who also don't have the ring to go with their share of heart-breaking playoff losses.

"I would say West Ham is more akin to the Philadelphia Eagles, at least on a fan basis"

"Mr. Burns 8:29 Tue Sep 6 clearly written by someone who has followed the NFL for about 5 years. Always felt the Spurs were most closely aligned with the Jets given they are both big money market teams who fail spectacularly due to poor managment, and both have the biggest set of cunts for fans. Chelsea are much more akin to the Pats and their johnny-come-latelys recent succes (relatively speaking) Mancs - the Green Bay Packers as the legends of the league even if struggling as of late. Liverpool - Steelers: blue-collar team of has-been success West Ham - tough to say. I might say the browns, but I don't know that we are that dire. both have an incredibly loyal fan base. Maybe the bears who haven't been relevant since the 80's with also very loyal fans. the Rams are most akin to MK Dons, selling to the highest bidder."

"Mr. Burns 8:29 Tue Sep 6 Hmmm Arsenal and Saints. Arsenal fans never had to deal with the abject 'Aints (paper bags and all) that Saints fans did. To be fair, I don't know much about Arsenal beyond my lifetime."

That's just lazy Jurno. Burns. No way are we like the Rams. It's just because we both got new stadiums. The Rams are going take 5 years to be relevant. If not longer.? I would say we have to make our chance to make a serious impact within the next 5.

That OL is good. But not a patch on that line both Troy and Emmitt use to stand behind. That the good thing about NFC East. Anyone can win it. But Romo in the playoffs.? That one never gets old.!

"Behind that offensive line i think elliot is going to be an absolute star from week 1, could be the rushing leader this year! The one thing most rookie running backs struggle with is pass catching and blocking and he seems to be very good at both already"

Well if you listen to the NFL hype machine. It's going to be a walk in the park for the Cowboys. But as we both know Miike. The wheels will come off by week 5. And there is always the Draft next April. They are the gift. That keeps on giving. Bit like Spurs. The only team to finnish 3rd. In a 2 horse race.!

"..........and I think Sean Lee got another bad injury. once they start picking up knocks like him and Romo, it's downhill from there. not sure they'll be many London Fletchers seen again who play over 250 consecutive games"

"haha, if Elliott doesn't work out at RB it could be a long year for Jerry's boys. sadly I think he's very good but can he carry their offense?"

But like you said. They are fun to watch. And any team from Texas that has bragging rights over Jerry Jones and his band of Cheerleaders. Are alright by me.

"Well the AFC South there for the taking. Both the Jags and the Titans are a work in progress. And if Luck ain't carrying the Colts. Then Indy are struggling. But they have a tough season. OK they start with the Bears. But they then got the Chiefs, Pats and then the Vikings in week 5. Go to Mexico to play Oakland. They also have the Broncos goto Green Bay and have Cincinnati at the fag end of the season. That's a tough season. Even for one with J.J Watt in there D."

the team I've enjoyed watching in pre-season is the Texans. they've looked good and Osweiler's linking up well with Hopkins and the other receivers

"Eith the steelers missing bryant all year the offense is very different i do think the patriots are the clear favourite in the AFC, but if garrapolo puts them in a hole early it could make all the difference to seeding and home field advantage which is always big! In the NFC it is far more competative with the cardinals seahawks, panthers and packers all legitimate contenders, i would of put the vikings almost in that category before teddy went down as they have a amazing roster, if bradford can finally find some form they will be in contention. Packers have an easy schedule so im going for them to get homefield and make the superbowl where they lose to the patriots (shock)"

Starter. Rashad Jennings 2nd. Andre Williams. 3rd. Shane Vereen. 4th. Orleans Darkwa. May mix Williams and Vereen around. But Jennings is the starter. Most fans would be happy with a 8-8. And some protection for Eli. And the double over the Cowgirls. (But that goes without saying.) 33/1 at the moment.

"yes, 28/1's a bit short. the Steelers would have a chance for me if they could keep the big lump fit but the way he plays he's always going to end up on a stretcher before November"

"shorty, im always an optimist so very blinkered but I think we're better prepared than last year. it's just gruden's attitude to running backs that may fuck us like it did against green bay"
