Went to the cinema to see top gun maverick. Thought it was absolutely superb. Farfetched as others have said but who cares it was brilliant entertainment I watched Gold with Zac Efron. Felt thirsty the whole time despite drinking beer throughout. Very average and a shit ending

"'Kes is worth watching just for the football in PE scene, with Brian Glover as the bully teacher.' Hahaha, that scene reminded me of competitive dad from the Fast Show"

"Sold - Films about fighter pilots, navy pilots, or whatever are always crap, unless you are in to that stuff, but Top Gun was still a good watch and has been universally acclaimed by the critics, and as we know you always like to point that out. I also watched 'Belfast' which IIRC you loved, I thought it was alright."

Well Top Gun – Maverick was about as believable as a film about Elephants flying… my God… my jaw almost dislocated …. Yeah great flying sequences but… watching a 1970’s F14 blast away and defeating modern day fighters… and lets be honest it was just a rehash of the Dambusters… except that was REAL….

Watched The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent which was great fun. Nice to see Nick Cage can parody himself.

"Kes is a fantastic movie, gives glimpse back to what life was like back then, not the rose tinted stuff most remember the late 60,s and early 70,s to have been it was hard and cruel place at times. Quite like watching some of the older UK shows and movies, Prospects from the early 80,s really shows the England and London of that era, mass unemployment etc, again not the rose tinted version some look back with! Also the scenery and street life has for the most part been bulldozed and re developed especially the old docklands used in a lot of the filming of the series. Sadly Gary Olsen who plays Billy and another under rated actor died very young from Cancer, only about 40 All on youtube these days get your reminiscing heads on, link below to episode 1……….. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIbZI6UlMKE&t=337s"

"Manuel Before he was a full-time actor Brian Glover, the PE teacher, wrestled under the name of Leon Aris (the Man from Paris), who, strangely, had a broad Barnsley accent. He was hilarious - this is his famous match against Les Kellett, another wonderful comedian wrestler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcBksyTkwQM"

Absolutely loved Everything Everywhere All At Once - great concept and execution. Michelle Yeoh looked like she had a huge amount of fun making it
