May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?
Window this close season comes in two parts:
Part 1: 1st June to 10th June

we're now fucked unless Sullivan sacks Potter pronto
IF we are a bit strapped for cash why would you waste any funds supporting a manager and getting in players for a bloke who will be gone in a month or two anyway.
Its an absolute shit show whatever way you look at it

Bissouma is a has-been and a waster with an attitude problem and a skewed moral compass imho

And that is everything that's wrong at West Ham. 10 fucking days ago us fucking idiots who know fuck all were saying we need to go and get Makua. It's like everything we do at West Ham is at snail's pace.
Now we are pumping Alvarez out the door (which I don't disagree with) I would also go and get Bisouma from the scum.

Its not Potter and Macaulay holding up transfer dealings. They have identified areas to strengthen and provided lists of players. The ITKs confirmed that and even Brady this week with her “we cannot bring in players Potter and Macaulay dont approve”. Inadvertently in an attempt to deflect blame from Sullivan, herself and board members she indicates that Potter has to agree and that they cannot keep thrusting Sully/ Salthouse specials like Wilson onto the manager.
Its Sullivan and relates to finances and his negotiation and deal making not target identification of the Head of Recruitment Macaulay and the manager Potter. The precise reason is hard to pinpoint as there is so much misinformation and media manipulation from Sullivan. But its not PSR. There’s no ready cash ( liquidity) it would seem or if there is Sullivan just wont spend without getting cash in the door.
A whole separate discussion can be had about the root causes but suffice to say its our CEO and Chairman and their incompetence. There are library shelves full if books explaining how companies fail and it always comes back to the leadership and lack if planning, inability to execute those plans ( implement via hiring of expertise, in football the key is recruitment investing wisely to align with the strategy and operational plans to support that strategy). Leadership success is also about communication, avoiding hierarchy, getting things done thru otjers, listening, securing the resources for employees and having the humility to get out of the way. Sullivan is the polar opposite. His appalling incompetence and leadership has caught up financially. The pay day loan, loans against future revenue, disasterous recruitment investment, and above all else his refusal to see or realise his part in our dimise means one thing a company failing. It goes out of business or gets taken over in other industries but in football its relegation leading to financial catastrophe. We could easily be there soon. The most depressing thing is he and Brady spend most of their energy deflecting blame from themselves thru propaganda. Their lack of self awareness us something to behold.
Why use 10 words when 100 will do

be lazy journalism for the Eze replacement. Orstein was reporting they were looking at El-Khannous at Leicester who everyone seems to be sniffing.
Even Palace can line up replacements when they sell their better players. Not us though.....

Alvarez going to Fenerbache on loan, full wages covered
what are we doing? Sending our best midfielder out on loan in the position we are in
Absolute shambles, I wasn't expecting much this summer or this season......but i am surprised how bleak the outlook is.
He doesn’t want to be here. Nothing we can really do about that but to not sell him properly and get a decent fee is a fucking joke in our situation. A loan is the worst of both worlds. We lose a player and get nothing to spend on a replacement.

We have Summerville & Guilherme … if we can get them fit
We need mobile physical midfielders. I’d even take Bissouma on loan after he has fallen out of favour at Tottenham
Was good at Brighton but has never really fit there
Presume Potter knows him and what he can do
The Lille player Muckau is a no brainer, should have happened by now
Without wanting to turn every little twist and turn at West Ham into a panic story, I’m unsure how Potter intends to use Summerville and Guilherme when they come back.
He’s made it clear he wants to play 5-3-2 (3-5-2) where he can - probably limiting our best player and captain in the process. So, not really using wingers.
The team is all over the place in so many ways. Neither Jimmy or Guilherme are wing-backs.
Give him a break though southbank, he's had just 8 months to figure this all out and the transfer window has only been open for 7 weeks,

Doak 25M to Bournemouth. Exciting young player that I would like to see at West Ham. There are good deals out there. Our transfer dealing is rubbish.

Fuck sake, I've been to the school of Sullivan Economics with my sums a bit there adding up..
120 - Ings
100 - Antonio
100 - Kudus
80 - Fabianski
80 - Soler
60 - Coufal
60 - Cresswell
=£600k
80 - Hermansen
80 - Diouf
40 - Walker-Peters
10+ - Wilson
=£210k
All looks solid to me, Massive. But you do also have to add Aguerd, Cornet and Ward-Prowse back onto the wage bill. They were mostly off it last season - hence we had the capacity to bring Soler expensively etc.
I won’t pretend to be an expert on our accounts. But I can believe 100% the idea that we’re a bit of a financial shower. PSR, cash flow…whatever the reason, I can believe our board - which overspends on shite, under-invests in young talent etc and rewards crap agents - is not covering itself in glory.

Thats my understanding too Goose. Sullivan just doesnt want to borrow anymore ( even though he has secured the facility to ) before selling or getting more off the books. He could also just be stalling for time to ensure Potters targets are not secured and / or waiting to the last minute in the belief he can get a bargain ( aka rip some club off ) via his dishonourable / weasle like negotiating and derisory offers. With all hope lost he wheels out a Salthouse, Silkman or Mackay or other agent facilitated player deal. Player is older, Prem experience, free or low cost, not that quick or even once played for a “big club”. Brownhill is still a possibility. If this conspiracy theory does not play out then it will simply be Sully just not wanting to shell out much and fully back a manager that was Bradys not his choice. A manager he said was just a coach who was largely successful at Brighton because of their recruitment. We have to stand in awe and marvel at the lack of self awareness and sense of irony our little megalomaniacal owner has.

We’re not struggling on PSR, that myth has been debunked.
We do/did have a cash flow problem but have sold Kudus.
our wages to turnover ratio is (was) one of the lowest in the PL.
its all bullshit.

We've clearly got a board/chairman who feels that all the clubs supporters his customers are ignorant fuckers who struggled to get a GCSE in Telling the Time and so cannot do the economic maths.
1980's mindset don't even come close. 1950s more likely.

I hate this board, but I do on balance believe we’re probably close to PSR. We bought Todibo for £33m, and brought his contract wages on board for several seasons. We bought Diouf for £20m and his wages, too.
And we’re probably due instalment payments on the likes of Kilman.
In addition, Aguerd, JWP and Cornet are back from loans, so full wages back on the books.
Selling Kudus no doubt helped. And offloading Ings, Antonio etc, too.
But we’ve bought a lot of shit players over the past few years, expensively and on big wages. I doubt there is a lot of wriggle room. But the fault for that lies with this board, several past managers and shite agents/directors.
We’re just a terribly run club. 100% still the circus that Noble told everybody we had moved away from. Not his fault, btw, he was just mindlessly repeating what he was told.
We’ve been in the stadium nine years and there’s still no sign of the (shared) sponsorship deal the board said they’d pursue. Etc etc etc. Piss up. Brewery.
