A lot of games we have dropped points by a slim margin. I was thinking if we were still scoring from set pieces we'd comfortably be in the top half .

And we had a good no 10 called Vlasic who that thick jock had playing wide.

You have to be ruthless theses days. If Poch and Tuchel are available you have to snap them up. Spurs didn't waste any time getting Conte. Moyes has to go and go now before the WC

"We've been shit since Lyon away. Can't score, can't create, can defend. However despite being able to defend if you give up possession and don't press the opposition you will still concede. Moyes can't coach and looks like Pearce and Irvine were the strong coaches. He is also making stupid decisions. Downes at 10 is just mental and he's only doing that so he doesn't need to drop Soucek who is an absolute waste of space at the moment and needs some time on the sidelines. I've gone from looking forward to matches feeling optimistic to the old hope we can scrape a result mentality. That's unacceptable given the backing he's had."

Moyes is inept. What the fuck was he thinking playing Downes as a 10. Bowen looked shot and I'd like to see Antonio back in that right side of attack. OK Scamacca was on a yellow and I guess it would have been a risk keeping him on but Moyes won't play them together anyway. And how the fuck are Cresswell and Soucek still being picked?

Listening to to Talk Sport today Sounes seem to think us going to a top six club that our approach was about right. I enjoyed the game and thought we played OK but our finishing is woeful. That's reflected in the Premier league table where only the bottom 2 team have scored less goals than us.

"Last night on social's a lot of supporters were saying 'what have we become? When do we expect to go to Anfield and OT and win?"" But that's so short sighted in my eyes. I believe with a more positive approach and set up we take 3 points from both games. Liverpool are a mess for their standards and Man Utd are in transition and are wofeully off their standard. It's those fans that say this stuff that Moyes loves because they base now with then and give him a pass because of shit we always used to be. I don't EXPECT to win at these grounds. But I do expect us to go there and try and win and give them a game over the 90. Not just the last 10, 15, 20 mins."

"Again Moyes was negative. A team with Rice, Soucek and Downes is always going to be overloaded with DM's. And there's no way in the world Downes is a 10. Why play him there? And when Moyes brought Antonio on, for me it should've been Downes off and Antonio up front with Scamacca. Or Downes off, Benny into 10 role and Antonio left but tell him to push in with Scamacca. Everything Moyes does is just maintian the same set up. He just swaps players. Why can't he change formation to get a goal? Now., I will openly admit, its not Moyes fault that Bowen missed that sitter, that De Gea had a worldy and Cresswell couldn't cross a fucking road....BUT....It is Moyes fault for the fact that we only open up and have a go after going a goal down and with 15 left on the clock."

"Course we're in a relegation battle, I'm surprised how little has been talked about our poor form in the media. Seems Leicester have been spoke about as possible relegation candidates but for som reason we don't get spoke about. I still don't think the manager last the season, from afar it seems he has wasted a shed load of wedge on very average players."

"We are now a third of the way into the Premier League season and we have a paltry 14 points from 13 matches. We have lost four away games by the same scoreline of 1-0 and lost five of our seven away games (all by the odd goal), picking up just four points on the road. Avoiding thrashings on the road, is not being converted into points, so what is the point? Let's face it. This is relegation form and anyone who dismisses talk of a relegation battle has their heads in the sand. We have gone massively backwards this season and have wasted the bulk of our transfer budget on dross, as far as I can see. Only a change of manager will address this slide. Moyes OUT."

Does anyone know what specific roles Irvine and Pearce had re training ? And Irvine has been gone for a while now - it would seem his loss is having a huge detrimental effect .

Moyes needs to figure out how we can pass the ball forward. To each other (ie Not the opposition) Yesterday reminded me of what we reverted to under the Bilic disaster season with all that sideways and backwards passing. It was dull as fuck for 75 mins

"Feels like we have more of an accuracy issue at the moment than any massive possession issues. We have a lot of attacking mids/forwards who from what I can see were never trained at the top level and have had to progress through the ranks or were never the finished article in the first place (Fornals, Benny, Antonio, Bowen etc) and they just aren't as sharp in front of goal as what other teams have in the top 6/8. I feel like when we were free scoring a few seasons ago, that was more to do with us playing on the break which just meant clearer shots on goal. The penalty issues for us are just a reflection of our lack of accuracy. We must have missed more pen's than any other team in the top flight. And we must have the least shots to goals ratio of any team. We have about 6 first team professional attackers and only one of them can guarantee a penalty. That's just crazy at this level. I dont really know what the answer is. I'm not sure it's more practice because at this level, you've either got an eye for goal or you dont. It's something you should have from young. Benny and Bowens scoring in the Championship just seems more that they have a bit more time and the defences are just a bit shittier then in the PL. Basically, put Son & Kane in our team and we win the league... The way Moyes wants to play (compact defensively all over the pitch) means you need a Drogba/DaCosta level of quality striker who has 1 chance and puts it away. That's what Jose had. But none of our guys are there. Maybe Samaca in the future? Otherwise we have to find new ways. (Which is why I keep going on about width and wingers to stretch defences and give our forwards more time and space to make the shot)."

"""Why isn't there such a frequency of clubs like Wimbledon, Coventry, Oxford, Luton & Norwich winning domestic cups anymore like there was in the 1980s?""ù Because everything has moved on - the gulf is still there but now the best teams buy not just the best players in this country, but the best players in the world. Add to that better pitches, protection from refs, bigger squads, more subs etc etc."

"davey - Yep, correct. I don't actually mind Gonzo as he's fairly entertaining and I've rather listen to him than the other bloke who knows a lot more, but Gonzo is not even a football man really, knows next to fuck all about the game, doesn't watch other games, and when his old man (who knows his stuff) was on the other week before the Anderlecht game he was talking about the 76 final that he went to and Gonzo had no idea about the game at all and eve cut his old man off as had no interest in learning about it. Basically, he's a fraud."

"Two Gonzo huh , he's entertaining. Did you see his ratings for the Silkeborg game, it's like we won 5-0 with 5 different scorers. That was a dreadfull match and he thought we were good. When that scottish nidget ask's him a question about other teams he never seems to know anything but this is his job. Pathectic at best"

"Twoleft, Gonzo is in your camp? Your camp? Damn you must be proud.... This is not a competition or a petition to camp people. It's a forum where you can express your views isn't it? And by the way, your so called camp. Are you sure what camp you're in atm?"

a team from our current squad that develops over the season but not under Moyes. a 3-4--1-2 that can change and adapt. The 4 are more offensive than defensive but with Downes and Rice very mobile can cover when the opposition have the ball Areola Kehrer Zouma Aguerd Ashby Downes Rice Longelo Paquetta Bowen Scamacca Bowen and Scamacca drift out wide to allow Paquetta to go through the middle supported with Downes and Rice nearby. The wing backs drop to cover these 2 squeezing up. to daring and forward thinking for Moyes

Swindon you do know Tottenham fuck up your comparison to the past compared to now? Are you saying Pochettino & Conte are better or just as good achievers for Tottenham than Bill Nicholson or Keith Burkinshaw?

"You should be a politician Mikey Boy. Very good at avoiding the question. I will ask the question again. Why isn't there such a frequency of clubs like Wimbledon, Coventry, Oxford, Luton & Norwich winning domestic cups anymore like there was in the 1980s? I'm saying it's because there wasn't such a financial gulf between the big 5/6 and the rest like there is now and thus it's harder to win a domestic trophy for the rest than it was back then. What do you think Mikey the politician?"

"wrong? no, I've corrected you a few times. you have this elitist view towards the teams you talk about, almost like they don't deserve the trophies they won. it probably comes from being a bit of a glory hunter and not supporting your local team"
