And dare I say Northern Sold too. Manuel, Northern Sold and I brought the humour, agg and edge to this once great site.

Now it's just me and my contributions are not appreciated enough by my followers/ stalkers on here.
Manuel still visits....just 'lurks' these days, but technically still a site user. He's still seeing your humour....maybe just not sufficiently inspired to retort!
What a melt. Some posters were meant to him so he has cried off from posting. I have received shit loads of abuse and shit from my various obsessed freak stalkers on here but I still have the minerals to front up and post.

Good people and posters should refuse to be hounded off this site by the angry, stalking few.

As other posters mentioned, it's too much football, too many football podcasts, pundits overanalysing everything and anything, too many voices and opinions, it's a bore fest

How this thread has got so many responses is beyond me. Surely if like me you still enjoy WHO you post. If you don’t, there are plenty of boring wet flannel alternatives like KUMB.

Well. Don't look at the politics thread then. Problem solved.
yes, remember the communist glory days on the George Floyd thread, when cunts like you (beige ,) were celebrating the destruction of the west on behalf of a career criminal drug addict
You need to jog my memory on my contribution to that side of the debate.

New job has less free surfing time.
No more FMOB, FOMB, ChitB, HOT PISS, fancy a bum? moments.

Politics Thread (Yes you can not look but the very need for it shows a key change in the way people debate and try to win the argument)

Football playing a lesser part in my life.

Which makes it awkward that I am the custodian of the WHO fund and have £1454 of it's money in a savings account.

Also, unless you are a vulgarian, prone to conspicuous spending, drink-driving, crashing supercars, rape, and cat-kicking, it's hard to identify with and like modern professional footballers.
This was more of a problem in the WAG era of Lampard’s and Beckham’s time. I know these incidents you refer to here are more recent than that, but on the whole the vulgar conspicuous spending seems to be frowned upon these days. The exception is rapists. I haven’t crunched the numbers on this, but I think it may be more to do with the game becoming more ‘international’.

There's no dressing it up, the site is utter shit and KUMB pisses all over it which speaks volumes.

25 years ago it was the best place to be, the humour was off the scale with all the old regulars and black fonters, literally LOL moments all the time.  Now it's just the same bunch of boring cunts posting the same shit over and over.

I fully admire the effort made in saving the site, but was it really worth it?  Like West Ham, it died years ago.

Despite how poor Rangers are doing, I get more enjoyment watching Scottish football than the sanitised and boring Premiern League. People can call it Sunday league all they like, but at least there’s passion in the stands and a connection with the clubs.

The major issues for me is that for some strange fucked up Stockholm Syndrome reason, I love West Ham United.

Couple that with the increased movement of football to some kind of gentrification that seeks to remove real passion from the sport in favour of fame and money-orientated sensationalism, and it's just so hard to feel a connection to the experience anymore.

There's so many options out there now for West Ham news. For the first 10-15 years of its life there was only really this and KUMB. Now there's Twitter, loads of YouTube channels and probably tic tock too.

As for those YouTube channels, they're really shit. Basically just a random bloke off here building a platform where he's the voice of authority rather than what he is, just another voice in the crowd.

I lasted for the first 20 mins of the Liverpool/ Man Utd on Sunday before I turned the tele off and went back to the book I'm reading. The best i can do is go on you tube and watch all the goals from the weekend games, I just get almost nothing from watching a whole game anymore.
Just grateful to have been a fan when the game was genuinely exciting and West Ham looked like a football club worth caring about.
I feel like some of this is about pure quantity.

I've gone the same way with cricket....used to love watching it, but now it's so relentlessly available, that maintaining following of it is frankly overexposed.

Football is more of the same with the wall to wall coverage, over saturation, talk shows, podcasts, YouTube, European games etc etc.

Couple that with the increased movement of football to some kind of gentrification that seeks to remove real passion from the sport in favour of fame and money-orientated sensationalism, and it's just so hard to feel a connection to the experience anymore.
Totally agree. I switched off Villarreal v Man City at half time as it was so boring. I put on WALL v Stoke in the second half and found that held a bit more of my interest, but I duly fell asleep after about 20 minutes.

Part of it is just getting older I think. Football was the holy grail when I was a kid, but these days it's just boring in general.
