The Arctic Monkeys drummer is fucking excellent. Music taste is weird thing and I like stuff from classical to extreme metal and all things in between as long as they are not bland and hackeyed. Music should stir emotion.

There's a lot of snobbery when it comes to musical tastes that I find laughable. Not sure that's a great deal of progression. My 16 year old loves 70s disco and funk but I did drag him to see see the Damned a few weeks ago and he loved it. They are bloody good live though.

My 15 year old has progressed from the Gorillaz to the Arctic Monkeys. In evolutionary terms I am not sure if its a step forward or back. Gonna think about it while i listen to.the Specials.
