I watced Nomadland last night. A bit slow and depressing but a decent film. Frances McDormond is excellent as usual.

"Haller - I imagine Netflix are spending the production budget on casting, costume, location etc not script development. US films used to spend four or five times in percentage terms more on script redrafts and pre-production than European films, hence why the formula was often so much more polished. Saw County Lines yesterday - very dark but the director had Come and See as an influence so it figures. Key scene in Leigh-on-Sea for all you Essex Boys."

"Can someone who knows movies or the making process tell me why all Netflix films struggle with character development, story progression and endings? They jump straight in, you don't care for the characters and the endings are always abrupt. What are Netflix doing wrong."

"Alfs 5:57 Thu Apr 29 Basically you're watching a cached version of a torrent which has been downloaded to Real Debrid's servers. There are more links available, it's more reliable and often better quality, meaning less buffering and more 4K streams. You also have no need of a VPN as you are always watching via Real Debrid's servers, not some dodgy site. It's also useful if you want to safely download torrent files yourself. Where it would normally take hours or even days it takes minutes, and as you're not seeding or downloading direct from the torrent site you have no risk of bother from your ISP."

'Nobody' with Bill Odenkirk (Saul from Better Call Saul) is a fucking hoot. Saw it twice last week and he's perfectly cast as a seemingly normal cowardly bloke against the Russian mob. Made me laugh and laugh.

"ted fenton 6:20 Tue Apr 27 A lot of people say that about credit card security, if you’re happy with the links your getting ... I’ve had a RD account for about 5 years now no dodgy credit card dealings 6 months about £14 and they have shorter durations if you wanted to try it for a month. Real-Debrid.com if you want to check it out"

"ted fenton 6:11 Mon Apr 26 Give yourself a treat Ted and sign up to a real debrid account! Get a month to see if you think it’s worth it , if not don’t renew it. Loads of good streams including 4K. Pretty simple to do and well worth it IMHO of course"

A great film to watch out of your head on mind bending drugs is Mandy with Nicholas Cage. Just the right role for the overacting mental case.
