May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?
Window this close season comes in two parts:
Part 1: 1st June to 10th June
Part 2: 16th June to 1st September
The clubs being run this badly.simply because it's going to be someone else's problem pretty soon . When was the last time premier League owners hung about after not investing. Ashley and moshri are recent examples. These owners haven't invested a penny since 2021 and have survived on European money alone . And now that's gone as well.

That Vickery bloke, the South American football expert, has properly bigged up JOHN VICTOR
The wise sages on WHO have told us he's shit though, so better to listen to them.
Won't trust Vickery. The bloke a massive N17 fan.

Correct Scorch. “The Sullivan Effect” is back and worse than ever. You do not run a football club this way and expect improvement or success over the long term.
And as this link suggests, many others in the game agree:
He speaks well. Totally agree. What's baffling is that Sullivan has to be aware it's being discussed everywhere and can't really be controlled by Jim white slapping callers to talksport down and talking over them or cutting them off any longer, yet still he doesn't even care that his name is becoming synonymous with 'shit owner'. I'd have thought that his ego side would have problems with that. Maybe his desire to play football manager or (possibly/allegedly) skim a bit off the side at the club by working with a friendly contact rather than his employees is just stronger than any of that.
Why the fuck should Sullivan change. While the fans pay money for what he serves up.? It ain't rocket science.

So Vickery who has watched him a lot thinks he's decent... The majority on here who have never seen him have labelled him a clown.
Palacios looks a very good player from what I've seen, but this is driven by Sullivan and not the recruitment team if you believe the rumours, but I suppose those that believe it about other players have to, right?
Looks just the type we need.
The player is almost irrelevant. It's the fact/principle that Sullivan is acting outside the needs or requirements of his managers and not putting the success of the team on the field above his own interests. If the player is good (AWB for example) then it's at least helping the team but it's still the way it's being done which is distasteful. However the players are usually not up to much which makes it distasteful and stupid while being self serving at the same time. There are more Callum Wilsons than AWBs arriving thanks to Sullivan. The club is worse off for them, on the whole.
Depends if you believe it or not, or is it just ex hasn't heard about it so he's assuming it's Sullivan... If I was an Itk who learnt money from sharing stuff and I got it wrong about the keeper and knew nothing maybe I would take the easy route and blame the bloke that everyone (with good reason) hates.
But yeah you're right he shouldn't be meddling but we as a club should have a coach that works with the players given to him by a professional recruitment team... Never gonna happen though is it.
I guess so. I feel there seems to be a logic to a link or a signing if it's perceived as coming from the manager, and less of one if perceived as coming from Sullivan. I do think that largely holds up.
I know we went round the houses with the two keepers but Hermanson seemed a signing we were logically working toward with our recruiting, acknowledged by Leicester with their recruiting also. Then out of nowhere there's this link to the Brazilian guy. One seemed logical and sensible, the other seems completely random. In my humble opinion, Hermanson really feels like a researched, reasoned, logical manager's choice and Victor feels like a classic Sullivan plucked seemingly out of thin air or the filofax of an approaching agent with no groundwork done. We may likely just not agree on that at all but there you go.
I don't think we could agree more on the meddling or the chances of it ceasing, sadly!

Understood Summerville was fit now & ready to join in now that they are back from America
My Reading was that Elliot hadn’t ruled us out but obviously would prefer a Champions league team
And of course we have asked the price but not bid
If I was Liverpool I’d be offering him to Newcastle as part exchange for Isak. Throw Nunez in there as well is they miss out on Sesko to Man U

The perfect scenario would be to get the brazilian and hermanson and get rid of areola all for a net <£20m.
I can dream can't I?
Maybe less wages between them too... Stop dreaming...

Guy on sky sports (tim vickery) reckons john victor is a quality goalkeeper.
He has contradicted himself a little bit though. Mentioned he has made mistakes (but added caveat that all keepers have) and said fans have turned against him but thinks it's because they dont want him to go.
Said the language barrier could be an issue bit thinks we're getting a good keeper.

Quick scan of socials today:
John Victor from Botafogo - Player and transfers terms agreed. Now today we see Hermanson player and transfer terms agreed. Now we have made a bid for Michael Zetterer from Werder Bremen. Not sure if this is a matserclass or just a throw what you can and see what sticks.
We have made formal enquiries for Sterling and Yves Bissouma.
We have tabled a formal bid for Douglas Luiz to ward off interest from Forest.
We have lodged formal interest in Cagliari striker Roberto Piccollo. Cagliari are resigned to sell and we are awaiting valuation.
NOTE: For the morons - These are not my ITK's - They are from social media pages.
No doubt the desire is to play the three clubs off against each other to try and lower the price for one of them. Very short term I suppose you could say it's a shrewd move to try and extract a little more value out of this transfer, BUT long term it just I am sure makes clubs even more wary of dealing with Sullivan if he's just going to be gaslighting them and pulling rugs and trying to change terms last minute and play people off against each other. I'm sure other clubs don't operate like this quite so brazenly.
It's like he doesn't care what keeper we actually end up with and whether they are the best fit as long as it's as cheaply as possible. Sure if Hermanson is the main target and we knock a couple of mill off the price then it's a 'win' but are Leicester, Botofogo and Bremen going to be willing to deal with him again? Maybe not.

Suspect we think Elliot is too expensive & not sure positionally he is what we need
Paqueta reprieved & am hoping Summerville & Guilherme will be more prominent
Obviously he wouldn’t play ahead of Bowen
I do wonder if Elliot was even aware of our interest. Would seem to me that he would only be interested in Champions League team at this stage of his career.... Considering where he is coming from. I also think if we were deadly serious about signing him, things would've progressed further than they are now. No doubt was just a Sulli mole that put this out there.
As you say Paqueta reprieved, Guillherme hopefully more prominent and Summerville back mid to end of September.

As far as I'm aware, we've never been close to signing Elliott.
I not out begging for information, but I reckon I might get told if anything was on the horizon with him.
