Soucek there was an example of how bad he is on the ball. From having lots of space and options he got closed down and we lost the ball. That’s why he’s not a no.10

No changes.. I'm not sure if Areola is to blame for letting that in was unsighted I believe and a deflection

Outplayed for most of the first half. We need to start controlling the midfield. Not impressed so far.

It doesn't help that Antonio drifts out wide especially when Paqueta has a through ball on. If you watch Watkins he rarely deviates from in and around the area. Need that focal point.

"The reason why Ward-Prowse’s free kicks are not effective for us is because the opposition are always about eight yards away, instead of the ten yards they are supposed to be."

"Our least technically gifted player is playing as a 10. Where you need skill,.. Sorry sick of watching the other team play football. Fucking Moyes fault playing him there... Touched the ball about twice I think. If only we had a skillful fast player who can carry the ball. Oh and Antonio.. Wtf.."

"Antonio really isn’t very good anymore, when someone with the pace and accuracy of Kudus on the bench, it makes no sense to start him."

"You could split that first half into three 15 minute segments. First fifteen minutes we did quite well, even though they still had a couple of dangerous attacks. Second fifteen we were awful. We kept giving the ball back to them and putting ourselves under pressure. Aerola made a world class save then let an easy one under his body. Last fifteen minutes we were okay again, but still in danger of conceding again."

"Some awful performances, does JWP only appear for set pieces, bored with that now. Antonio has been playing of late like he's doing us a favour. Fwiw, Tim Sherwood slated Moyes for playing Paqueta out left and giving him defensive responsibilities. Will need a big turnaround if we're to leave with anything."

Paulon. I have no idea who you and I have no intention of finding out but you sound like a little child. If you can find me one post where I have professed my love for Antonio please post it. Stop making rubbish up you stupid fucking prick. Anyone with a brain would have seen that I wanted Kudus to play. Now fuck off and leave the football to people that know about it.

"Amazing how many of our players don’t look up when playing the final ball. Coufal, Antonio etc. just make up their mind what they’re going to do as soon as they start their dribble. Isn’t that basic stuff? Right now we need to outplay Villa not out defend them. I’d put kudus and mubama on for soucek and Antonio and just bring creativity and speed to the attack."

Strange half dominated for 10min then were all over the place for 25mins then got back on time for the last 10mins Midfield is the massive problem JWP Alvarez have been awful Soucek is fucking non existent there’s no way he’s completed more than 2 passes in that half Antonio has been truly terrible and if the manager had any ruthlessness about him he’d of hooked after 30mins Benrahama on for Soucek stick Paqueta back in the middle for a bit of balance and kudus on for Antonio No chance he’ll do any of that before 65 mins by then the game may have gone

"Paqueta can see that the through ball is on, and then realises it’s too Antonio. He’s probably thinking there’s a better option."

Alvarez & Ward-Prowse are getting by passed far to easily no protection for the centre half’s viola are getting goal side of both of em far too many times .Might as well do kudus for Antonio now.

Hopefully Moyes acts quick this time & hooks Antonio straight away for Kudus. I counted 6 rickets & 1 decent pass from Antonio that 1st half. Just too erratic. Have to say Paqueta has missed quite a few through balls as well. Making it too easy for them. At least Coufal gets down that wing but it just looks a little tame right now. Need the 'hairdryer' halftime. Hopefully better 2nd coming up

None of them have pulled up any trees individually so far but I think I could do better than Antonio today. Giving them too much time to just pass it about.
