Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?
Window this close season comes in two parts:
Part 1: 1st June to 10th June
Part 2: 16th June to 1st September

Palace have paid £20.8m for 20 year old Jaydee Canvot, Cresswell’s centre back partner at Toulouse. So we were both going for Toulouse centre backs and Igor Julio.

Igor was the hunchback in Young Frankenstein. A perfect West Ham signing.
Seriously tho, worse than I thought. Sullivan trouserinv the Aguerd money and no one coming in is what will happen. He trousered £17 million from Kudus deal and now Aguerd fee. Does it every window. Spends some but is always thinking about getting cash in longer term. Trouble is none of us can see the books and how the amortisation works. But Sullivan and board only ever put in an initial stake to buy shares and then spend the club money in a ponzi scheme by borrowing against future revenues, even payments of future fees, Tv revenues, ticket revenues, mortgaging all fixed assets and now selling stakes in the womens team. Lots of clubs do it I guess but West Ham owners never invest either. Only thing they do is gove loabs to the club and earn money in interest back.
In short, we need a CB, another centre mid and striker to have a strong squad. We are 2 ir 3 injuries away from “bare bones”. The “Sullivan Effect”.
“No more BS” !!
As much as I detest Sullivan he hasn't "trousered" any money!
Check the financial accounts if he's taken a £17m directors salary then you are correct. Otherwise can we stop pretending Sullivan is stealing from the club coffers because it fits our narrative.
What we should be holding against him is the continued interest he charges us the club for his loans. But Im not sure that would account for £17m either!
Can anyone confirm the interest charges?
And yes his lack of personal investment since he took ownership is crap but the club needs to be self funding.
Did you watch the HITC expose on West Ham?
The guy has invested the least amount of money of any PL club ever I think. Remember this guy didnt even have to fund a stadium build. He got a 99yr lease for peanuts and redeveloped Upton Park. Thats like free money. I think in total he/Gold invested 100m since he bought the thing and that's a loan with interest that's probably never going to get paid. On top of that his 31% he is using as collateral for other deals I imagine. Finally, all these deals through trusted agents is a very convenient way of taking money out of the club and giving it to his "friends".
He hasn't "given" anything to the club from what I can see. He's done what the Glazers did. Used financial leverage and credit worthiness to own an asset that constantly pays him out with no jeopardy to himself.
Not exactly "entrepreneurial" as that requires and element of risk, where was the risk for Sullivan?
Can't disagree as I didnt say any of that, in fact I said his lack of personal investment is crap, but he still hasn't "trousered" any money.

Diouf and Scarles are the regular competition at Left Back with Walker-Peters and Wan-Bissaka who can also cover if needs be depending on injuries. Don't need to buy another Left Back for me.
I've also just realised we're becoming the super-hyphoned Football Team. Walker-Peters, Wan-Bissaka, Ward-Prowse, our new Tactic to confuse the opposition is to scare them seeing ao many names down on a Teamsheet.

Diouf was his replacement. Agreed on the Striker situation.
Two left backs/ left wing backs have gone in Emerson and Cresswell and one has come in. So Diouf replaces one of them, we are left one senior left back/ left wing back short.
If Diouf gets injured KWP or AWB will have to fill in out of position.
Back to square pegs in round holes under Sullivan and his constant squad decimation.

Was hoping that young Potts would be loaned to a championship team.
needs further development at that level because he is as it stands, he is not ready for the premiership.

So Emerson has gone today and not been replaced
Aguerd will be going and will be replaced by a Brighton reserve on loan.
Still no striker under the age of 32 signed.
Typical Sullivan.

This is what my mate (Brighton Season Ticket holder) said when I asked if he was a donkey:-
I wouldn’t say he’s a donkey more that others were ahead of him in the pecking order. But when he played he always did okay - solid without being outstanding. He’s a big fucker but, you’ll be pleased to know, a little injury prone…

Don't panic. Sullivans rolls royce is parked up outside the football equivalent of Tesco's, waiting for the yellow stickers aka "free agents" after 8pm. You won't be disappointed.

West Ham United sign French youngster Dimitri Colau
West Ham United is pleased to announce that young French defender Dimitri Colau has joined the Club’s Academy U21 development squad from newly promoted Ligue 1 club Paris FC.
The 19-year-old arrives at the Hammers on a four-year contract with an option to extend for a further year.
Colau links up with former Paris FC Academy teammate Mohamadou Kanté in the Irons' development squad. Kanté joined from the Parisian side in August 2024 before spending last season back on loan at Paris FC, who were promoted as runners-up to Lorient in May this year, and the defender is looking forward to joining his old friend in London.
“Mo and I have been teammates throughout our time with the Paris FC Academy,” Colau confirmed. “He spoke to me about the Club before I arrived. He spoke very highly of how he’d been welcomed in, the facilities and that the sessions have been really good, of really high quality.
I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started.”Born in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, north east of the centre of the French capital, Colau captained the Paris FC U19s in the National U19s French league, before being promoted to the first team during the 2023/24 season.
He balanced youth-team duties with senior involvement, making his professional debut in a 3-0 Ligue 2 win over Concarneau and going on to record five first-team appearances across league and cup.Last season however, as Paris FC secured promotion back to Ligue 1 for the first time since 1978, his progress was put on hold in a stop-start campaign disrupted by injury.
He explained: “I was delighted to make my debut during the 2023/24 campaign, but last season was a bit complicated with injuries. I started the season with the pros, but I alternated between injuries and being back on the pitch, so mid-season I decided to have surgery. I’m back now and raring to go.”

Surely Palace pull the plug on the Guehi sale of they can't get in a replacement at all. They'd be within their rights whilst it's up in the air still. Be daft to sanction that if they have zero replacement. Funny though.
