Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Sully going for the cheap option. Supports the rumour that he thinks Potter and Macaulay’s targets are too expensive.
“Trust in Sullivan” because thats worked so well these last 15 years. “First class team for a first class stadium”. Actually thinking about it, we have got the right squad / team for that stadium. “Half baked”, “ramshackle” are words that come to mind.
As expected with Sullivan back in charge of recruitment ( because its him calling the shots ultimately) we are 2 weeks away from a new season and the mess, he alone created by insisting against all advice to appoint Lopetegui, has still not been rectified. The problems that emerged 18 months into the Moyes era, like lack of central midfield pace and energy, still not addressed.
Sullivan’s narcissism prevents him being unable to learn, listen and even be aware if his own failings. He is not even willing to learn. Only concessions he gives are after being forced to by other board members ( e.g. Steidten as a DOF ) but he half inplements it in a confused fashion, where recruitment ends up being shared between Steidten, Loppy and Sullivan himself, almost as if he us trying to undermine ir sabotage any changes from day one.
You gotta hand it to Sully he is a serial failure with improving the club he controls and yet, at the same time, relentless in repeating the same mistakes and being unable to learn anything.

Newcastle need a striker not a wide forward
They have Gordon Barnes Elanga Murphy & Willock
Presume they would go for that Sesko … or Danny Ings
Is Mido still playing?
The 1st two are almost exclusively left side, Elanga I personally have only seen operate from the left and none offer Bowen's G&A numbers. They know they're unlikely to replace Isak's output with another striker so the sensible plan is add goals to the team.

Wilson signing is on Talksport too.
If it's just for a year we could do worse for a back up and would rather him than Antonio.
Stop making excuses for the dwarf...
It's a shit deal...only a fucking gutless invertebrate would suggest that signing Wilson is a reasonably good idea that provides value for money
It doesn't - not even on pay as you go!

I think they need both. A winger and a striker & he's pretty flexible to be fair. Of course I don't want him going anywhere but that cսnt Sullivan's eyes will light up if they came in with a big bid for him. He wouldn't be able to resist the money....the massive cuntshovel.

I reckon if Liverpool get Isak with their 2nd bid, Newcastle will be straight in for Bowen. I wouldn't blame him going after the shitshow that is West Ham
Would be a bad career move going there. They're an obvious step-up but they ain't one of the big boys, and despite being owned by the Saudi's, they aren't gonna be winning anything major titles anytime soon.
Better off staying here and becoming a West Ham legend.

Apparently Callum Wilson went for his medical but turned back appalled by the smell of an almost fully decomposed body of Shaun Wright-Phillips in the waiting room.

Following in the wheelchair tracks of previous greats, Kieron Dyer; Andy Carroll amongst others, Spire Roding are delighted to announce their latest long term inmate, sorry signing, Callum Wilson.
Callum joins us after a strenuous medical examination, a process perfected in the signing of Curt Zouma.

It’s obvious!
he’s on £56k a week but he has to pay £50k a week in backhanders to a midget in a dodgy hat

Callum Wilson deal is OFF.
He turned up at LS and was angered at the lack of disabled facilities. Raised it with Sulli and the dwarf has told him to fuck off.
Another one bites the dust.
Yeah, but we tried....
They wanted him to provide proof he was eligible for concessions.

The article says could rise to 56k a week inc bonuses whatever that means.
50k a week for turning up at the training ground every day most likely. Regardless of whether he's fit to train.

There's no chance he'll be on £6k a week.
That's what Sullivan and his lover Salthouse want you to believe.
Agree. The player would be mental to agree to that especially when he could easily go and get 30/40k at several other clubs along with better prospects of playing time. This deal absolutely STINKS.
It's Sullivan through and through. Something which is an actual detriment to how the team can perform but that's ok as long as other people are doing well out of it.

£50,000 a week in bonuses:
£10,000 if he isn’t in a wheelchair more than 5 days
£20,000 if he isn’t in a coma
£20,000 if he isn’t in the morgue

Other thing to note is this is the Summer Transfer window with a lot more time, scope and cheaper deals about than compared to the winter window. What a wasted opportunity if this is as good as it gets.
And remember, we have dropped £19M big ones on a Left Back as we scrimp and scrape for a geriatric Striker.
How's bringing the age of the Squad going should Wilson expected to rock up..

At least he's likely to not be taking too much money out of the club on 6000 a week which seems too good to be true and surely he's had a better offer than that. If Sullivan has some sort of agreement with Salthouse and the player that he gets some guaranteed minutes if fit, then FUCK YOU NAPOLEON.
Or we are just paying some perma crock 6,000 to use our facilities and ride the bench. He must be desperate if that's all he can get.

Yeh it's convenient for Sullivan obviously, another Salthouse client, but can't expect much more currently from Sullivan.
Hoping they see Marshall & maybe Cummings as squad additions.
Can see both Fulkrug & Wilson being injured at the same time no doubt.
Aye, should Robo Antonio sign on with his pal as expected as well for his swansong, we'll have an embarrassment of old biddies in the waiting room for West Ham's retirement home, all over 33, 34 and 36 year old respectively before the seasons out. This a group of notoriously injury prone players up against many of the quickest, toughest, smartest opposition around in the Premier League. Whilst simultaneously push the highly rated exciting, young, quick and always fit Academy player Marshall further down the pecking order. Or worse likely back out on Loan which would be so demoralising for him when he should be encouraged to stay amongst the Squad now looking the part amongst his peers.
Shocking on every level BUT the "Next Level".
