West Ham vs Spurs | PL | 13.9.25 | Predictions and Match Thread

With the 'interesting' football hiatus that International Football brings, figured I'd get this match thread up. The result against Forest makes this game in some ways less significant (as the clock will have been reset on Potter's tenure) but also more interesting as there is a modicum of form to take into the game.
Fullkrug should obviously never be allowed on international duty again, what with it being an injury magnet for him, but that aside, as of now there are no new injuries. Rumours of a Summerville injury also appear unfounded.
So from a lineup perspective, I'm expecting something like:
Hermansen
Walker-Peters Mavropanos Kilman Diouf
Ward-Prowse Magassa
Bowen Soucek Fernandes
Paqueta
Subs: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Igor, Rodriguez, Irving, Guilherme, Summerville, Willson
Left out: Earthy, Marshall, Potts, Scarles.
Prediction: 1-2 Spurs (Muani, Kudus; Bowen for us)

Form can tend to go out the window in these games, so hard to call, but I think they'll have too much for us. Do we tend to do well after international breaks? I don't think we do. There should be some pissed up liveliness thanks to the kick off time, which usually helps these sort of games.

Too many people are looking at the Forest result and thinking it applies here. Forest were having issues behind the scenes between Nuno and the fat Greek, and Cockpiss’s changes worked well, but if anyone think he doesn’t revert to his favoured formation with Bowen up front and James Ward-Prowse in the middle, you’re in for a nasty shock. Our midfield will be overrun and I think we lose 3-0.
Their last result was against a very good Bournemouth team.

In fairness to our two incumbent Spurs fans (so weird they hang about and get such a kick out a relatively small number of people being triggered by their 'humour'), Spurs started the season on fire....and aside from a gutsy performance against Forest we've looked largely dogshit.
They have a high quality manager. We have Cock Piss.
44% think we win this according to the stats at the top. The bookies have us at 28% chance of winning.
Spurs are favourites so predicting they win...understandable. Quite a few claret tinted specs setting themselves up for disappointment among the fan base.
Hoping we left our game and turn the odds though! Feel like they have weaknesses we can exploit if things go well and our overthinking manager doesn't try and make it all too complicated.

I'll go 2-2!
Would absolutely bite your hand off for that outcome.
I just don’t see a scenario where we take all 3 points, I must say.
Don't do that, I'm already half a left leg down!

No genuine West Ham fan would get a half and half scarf unless they are five years old or a Spurs wanker.
Isn't that right you wanker?

First game for me since we lost to Blackburn in the League cup.
Hope that's not an omen! I'll go 2-2! COYI!

I would like to point out at this juncture, that having been to many West Ham v Spurs games over the last 60 or so years, In my considered opinion, I would say that spurs fans are cunts.
This is their players celebrating after beating us, a team they don't give a fuck about.

Not sure why anyone would want AWB in, he's been awful preseason and the start of this season.
Thanks for pointing that out, CS. My mistake - I meant to put KWP in there. Agreed - AWB has been poor so far. Curse of HotY.

Fair enough, time will tell. Fans of clubs are usually a good marker that's all. They would have watched him for years as opposed to our lot seeing him on youtube for 90 secs.
If he plays and he can get around the pitch, it might open up 3-4-3 again having two lads in midfield who can cover ground and more competent and brave on the ball.
He's played 50 games so doubt they've watched him for years... But yes time will tell,
His last 90 mins was back in January. He struggled with injury and the maybe some form as he was mainly a sub 2nd half of the season. His final game they lost 4-0 and he got sent off on 52 mins. That's also a reason why I would be surprised to see Potter throw him in.
But if he does I hope he sends Kudus into the Bobby Moore stand at some point.

Just go on the Monaco announcement tweet for his departure and translate the posts from their fans. They were how I assume ours will be when we sell Guido or JWP.
It's quite the opposite on their instagram page. Only one negative comment, all the others said they were stupid to get rid of him.

Be very surprised if Magassa starts also. Monaco fans were hardly complimentary about him, throwing him against Spurs is a big call. It will be JWP or Soucek
Do you reckon Potter has been on their forum and asked them?
He's quite highly rated and we scouted him and obviously rate him maybe so much that we didn't step aside for the decent Sangare, he may not start but I doubt it will be because Potter doesn't think he's good enough.

Chucking him in against Spurs at home will be a surprise for me, especially after JWP and Soucek started in a 3-0 win. Potter isn't exactly a big risk taker is he.
Are they also like some of our fans when we signed Fernandes....
Not to mention other teams were in for him, if only some were in for JWP...
He had the most recoveries in their whole league he's young

Can't see why he wouldn't start, unless he's injured or looked gash in training. He wouldn't have to be all that to be an effective replacement for JWP or Guido as long as he runs tackles and makes a nuisance of himself and more often than not finds a claret shirt with his passes. Potter hasn't been shy in starting new signings he percieves as being an upgrade/

Absolutely diabolical in every single game.
Also strange why people would choose him, when KWP has played so well. Probably been our most consistent performer in the minutes he's been on the pitch, hasn't put a foot wrong. Been very impressed.
