"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Thank fuck the NFL is back, always a bastard 7 month's waiting for it's return. Looking forward to seeing Burns boys lose in the early hours."

Hermit Road 1:53 Mon Sep 5 With you there. Despite havng a plan (and loads of possible pre-draft picks) I only got three off my shortlist and a smattering of rookies who are a total punt. The auto-pick algorithm would have made a much better job if it.

"the trade to us had zero to do with playing ability. wentz would still be with the colts if he'd had a certain medical procedure, the same with amari cooper in dallas. I've no doubt rodgers would have got the same treatment if he didn't have the legacy of a superbowl win and league mvp awards"

If it wasn't for the fact he's at the NFLs equivalent of tottenham I would take Dak. Good player.

You might get lucky. Depends on which Carson shows up. Is it the one with one of the best arms in the league or the one who makes inexplicable decisions at crucial moments.

"hermit, yes - subbed him in for prescott. I preset the positions I target for every round and it's worked pretty well the last couple of years, even though I ended up with dak & daniel jones (who I've also replaced). I just need to start better this year, always have a bad first few weeks and can never catch up"

I wish I'd let the auto pick do mine. You didn't fancy Wentz then Miike. I thought about him for my reserve QB

I wanted Ra with my third pick. Didn't expect the WRs to go so quick.

I fucked up again and drafted the wrong A Brown (whoever chose Amen-Ra chose wisely). Don't even have the excuse there being 2 on the same team like I did when drafting Duke Johson a couple of years ago.

"Niners keeping Jimmy G for this year. Restructured his contract to 7 mill, as high as a possible 16 mill with playing bonuses."

"I'm not sure what who or what cursed my washington redskins, but the bad news/chaos has been a constant since that clown snyder took over. we thought we'd had our fill when sean taylor was murdered at just twenty four, but no. we draft a great future running back in brian robinson, two weeks before the season starts and he gets carjacked by a crew of scumbags after having a meal, getting shot multiple times"

"I'm a sucker for pre-season hype & expectations (Mismi and WHU) so after 3 months plus of listening to how signing the cheetah was a waste of time because Tua can't throw a deep ball, I was delighted that the the first play from scrimmage was a 50+ yard completion between the two (45 yards at least in the air). Straight over to Twitter to feast on some humble pie. ""They are 3rd stringers"" ""Tua underthrew him"" ""You'll always get that on the first play"" (Seriously) Anything short of raising a Lombardi come February and Tua still won't be getting any respect. Looks like it could be a fun season to watch though."

Southbank Massive blow He says we are looking good said Dak has been phenomenal in preseason which ultimately the season comes down to him His department is looking good said they did really well in the draft and the freak parsons just gets better and better think he could be the difference this season Still think we are short in the WR area and have plenty of cap space can see them maybe getting somebody in unless they think they can utilise pollard which seems to of been done in preseason a lot as don't see gallop playing in the first couple of months and we have a pretty tough schedule this year

I expect Jimmy G to be released here soon and he'll probably end up in Seattle. Niners defense looks legit again this year but the IOL looks to be a big problem. Hope I'm wrong. We have the pieces to contend again this year just have to protect Trey. If Trey goes down we are toast.

"Lol, Norf! How's your boy feeling about the season? Losing Smith is a big blow. Looks like he's pretty much out for the season. Eight time pro/bowler, a damn good tackle and a proper leader. You never want to see that before the season starts. But there is some depth on that chart/roster."

"As a long-suffering Jets fan, I'm reading less than nothing into a couple of pre-season wins. Big year for Zach Wilson, this one. He has to start stepping up now. I'm not expecting world domination from him - it's only his second season - but we definitely need some improvement to the way he protects the ball and goes through his checkdowns. Saleh and Douglas have done their bit, at least in the draft, by bringing in some top-tier talent. It'll take a season or so to develop them, but suddenly the roster looks like it has several potential stars. I do wish Saleh would call defensively plays. But he insists on not doing that. I'll take eight wins this season! Expect some of the usual suspects to be strong: Chiefs, Rams, Ravens."

"Think teams have to cut their roster to 53 this week , be a few disappointed players hoping to make the big time . Jets have won a couple of pre season games ,not sure if I should look into that really but makes a change !"
