Which one would it be and why? Kings in Seven kings for me. Use to love the boxing and the comedians on a Sunday afternoon. Saturday night wasn’t a bad night either.

"Sloanes and The Retreat in Chigwell were pretty good for a night out, lots of nice girls and fun times. The Country Club before it turned itself into a rave venue The Royal Standard in Loughton when was locally known as the Pit, an absolute shithole with every trouble making loon within a 10-mile radius in there, the blokes were OK though. Fucking laugh a minute."

Any pub that had 4 real ales on tap by default and not as a '70s CAMRA friendly marketing ploy. Pint of Brown & Mild with a Mackeson or Barley Wine chaser. Any pub that had a proper (PROPER) Public Bar with sawdust on the floor.

"I think that is still there Marys, but it's the Royal Inn on the Park? Anyways this was a smaller place like Miike said literally the bottom space of a corner house, and it was definitely Gooches with the O's not like the brand."

"Side of Ham 11:23 Used to be a boozer called Inn On The Park, that I'm reasonably certain rebranded as Gucci's. This was on Burdett Road however, so probably a different place?"

"There were so so many. Beehive/Weavers/Florist/Greyhound/Tipples (front wheels), The Hayfield/Jug House/Hospital Tavern/Good Sams/Nashvilles/White Hart….etc etc. (Need a separate thread) TM - only really used to go past it early 80s. Looked like the crooked house. Club wise, there was another one Goochis (side of Vicky park). Vic pk rd. Was decent"

"Remember The Beachcombers (later Metropolis) in Cambridge Heath Road. Also The Needlegun in Roman Road, The Samuel Pepys in Hackney and The Jeremiah Bullfrog and Septembers in Bethnal Green. Think only Metropolis remains."
