Make me dizzy from your kisses - Eurovision 2024

"Come on you know you'll all be watching! There are even a couple of 'theys' to tick WHO's boxes ;) We've got a belter of a song - we can't win because Croatia (at least) are just too good, but it's a great song. Slightly surprised to see Israel climbing up the odds to second favourite - it's not bad, but it's not great - and I suspect a good number of people won't vote for them (and it's on too early). There are some other corkers - Switzerland, Netherlands, Finland (ish) - even France are decent. I have genuinely forgotten the Swedish song 'Unforgettable'. Germany are trying their luck with entering oiur song from a couple of years ago. Dizzy is no Space Man, though. Anecdote - in Turin, as they were announcing the last couple of votes to see if us or Ukraine would win, I could see behind the stage that they were getting Sam Ryder's staging ready - I really thought we'd won. It wasn't quite ""There will be four minutes of added......"", but it was close. You'll all be delighted/relieved to hear that I managed to get a ticket a couple of weeks ago after refreshing the site a few times an hour every day for months. My outfit is all ready to go (just a couple of rhinestone replacements)!"

"Far Cough 2:56 Sat May 11 100% Right. I thought of that sketch when posting. Far Cough 12:06 Sun May 12 Without watching the show, I'd say that sounds like a very eloquent summary."

Our British representative is 'ambivalent' to the Union Jack... what a wanker. Thought Israels entry has been the best so far. Carnage in Malmo if she wins.

"What's the betting that Joost Klein used the wrong pronoun when talking to a member of the Eurovision staff? Disqualification? Is that all??? He should have been skinned and dragged (by electric car, naturally) through the streets of Theystown, then cut up and environmentally fed to the street dogs."

"arsene, I seem to remember a Monty Python sketch where that song by Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson came up in a quiz featuring Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and Mao Tse Tung and I think Mao get the question right to much mirth all around?"

The last time I watched this was when Sing Little Birdie by Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson came second in it.

"Was reading that the public can vote via phone ,text or the Eurovision app Seems you can vote up to 20 (TWENTY) times but not for your own country Set up for a world wide Israel vote so worth checking their odds Imagine this information will be posted on the screens at Tottenham’s home game this afternoon"

"Let’s get this straight Brenty. The current nutjob Likud regime is busy weaponising trauma in a way that is going to ensure terrorism is a threat that will affect generations to come. And you want it to win the fucking Eurovision as part of its propaganda offensive? You’re really too far gone to get a GRIP, aren’t you."

Would LOVE Israel to win purely because it would enrage all the the Pro Palestinian Islamist sheep.

"It’s almost like we don’t want to win, with the shit songs we keep entering. It is basically just celebration of being gay rather than a song competition now."

"Never watch it for the actual music, but I do like how the scoring is done, and the split screen with likely winners, also rans on the left hand side and utter dogshit to the right. How it's updated and it all switches round so effortlessly. It's like a cousin of the vidi-printer."

I was offended by that bloke who had his junk out but I couldn't find who I was supposed to write to complain. It was very bizarre.
