"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Fucking comedy they leave JEREMY til last. Spot the odd one out. On the minute chance he's not gay he's played a blinder.

Proper teams don't have cheerleaders anyway.

Jets splashing the cash on locking Sauce and Garrett into long-term contracts.

It would now take a very big trade offer to lure either of them away. Two big talents. So, good moves.

Unusually astute for the worst-run team in the NFL!

Only those who follow US sports will like this.  But it's pretty funny.  I did LOL at the WNBA joke.

maybe the dull bastard has hired him to improve his own mental state, going by some of those unhinged press conferences towards the end of the season.

Not sure if it's two or three games. They seem to be punishing your boys with that early part of the schedule. A really tough start

It leaves us with 36 year-old Tyrod Taylor as back up to Justin Fields, although Tyrod is reliable. So we might need to pick up a QB in free agency, or trade for one (using late-round picks) before the deadline next season.

Jordan Travis, the Jets QB drafted in 2024, has retired after failing to recover from the horrible leg injury he suffered in his last game for Florida State.

Big talent, and such a shame. Also a sharp reminder that your college or NFL career can end in an instant.

He took a calculated risk by drafting him in round 5 of last year's draft, despite his injury. In Jets fashion, it has backfired! But I'd say he was worth the risk. We'd only have wasted that pick on a shit kicker (or maybe a shitkicker) anyway.

Feel for that kid, as he was more talented and harder working than most QBs we've had in recent years.

zebthecat wrote: 01 May 2025, 16:22 Over the past couple of weeks ESPN has been running articles on a mystery draft Prospect X who they though could be surprise draft pick. They never gave away his college, position or identity but went into a lot of details about him and his situation. Today they published the last in the series about how Prospect X did in the draft.
He looks like a very interesting player indeed.
I can think of a few ways he could make a career in the NFL.

ESPN. Or Disney Sports is a joke now. Unless the WNBA is your thing.?
