January Window

I don't often take notice of the windows, mainly because most of the players linked are paper-talk, ITK nonsense or fan speculation, however, there's lots of talk about unsettled players in the side, so we could see several players move on.
Soler, Fullkrug and Rodriques apparently haven't settled in London so I would imagine they'd be looking to move on. It's more difficult in Fullkrug's case as his injury doesn't seem to have a return date, which is a very typical thing to happen.
Apparently the player signing reigns will be taken out of the hands of Steitden, as the power hungry midget blames him for our failed season so far, not himself for employing someone completely until to manage in the PL, and the focus could be on Championship players. To be a little balanced, we have signed some very good players from the second division and it is a gold mine if you know what you're looking for.
Then there's Paqueta. He's having a stinker of a season and he should be moved on if we can, but I doubt there will be any takers until his case is resolved. Is there a confirmed date for his hearing?
More importantly, what do we need? A striker should be a top priority, even if it's a loan with an option to buy. The Big German might not be back again and Antonio is less a cart-horse and more a Jackass and reliably unreliable. Some pace in midfield to support Alvarez or Soucek and a new goalie. Fabianski as good as he is too old to start and Alfie Tits is shit, in my opinion.
I don't watch a great deal of neutral football anymore, so I'm not offering names, but for the TV scouts, bartsoolers and Football Manager aficionados, who's worth the club pursuing?

Spurs keeper is injured and out for a while. Today they agreed a deal for a new keeper.
How long have we needed a striker??
Some non entity from Slavia Prague
Well done for completely missing the point.
The point wasn’t missed. They have been out to sign a third rate goalkeeper who will end up being 3rd choice, is that what you want us to do?

Trouble is Russ as Stubbo says, Sullivan at the helm with his lack of strategy, leafership and him having to be involved will always be a huge impediment regardless of coach / manager. That said, he will have to sack Lop bevause a better more tactically flexible manager should be able to do better. But he wont employ the right man.
Moyes was as good as it gets with Sullivan at the helm it seems? How depressing

Whoever we buy its irrelevant. They are coming into a mess that even the best players in the world couldn't clear up. Get rid of Lope and get in a young, modern and progressive coach and then give him some dough to spend in Jan. Try and recover something from this wreckage of a season.
Then hopefully Sullivan dies soon and we can move on from his era of woe.
I won’t go so far as to wish death on him. But I really want Sullivan out. And I completely agree that while he’s in charge we’ll never develop.
Re this window, if Lopetegui is staying, I really wouldn’t spend any money.

So that’s basically three of our summer signings gagging to GTFO as soon as they can. Never mind this club not being run like a circus any more, it’s way beyond that.
How can we have three people all trying to do the transfer business in different ways? Sullivan needs to butt the fuck out and let the geezer he specifically employed to do it to get on with it single handedly. And employ a manager he wants to work with. It’s a fucking farce at the moment. Wants to transition to a Brighton or Brentford type of recruitment model, half arses it, gets cold feet and gives up after one window while reverting to type.
We are never progressing while this little dictator playing fantasy football in the pound shop is in charge. Never. I will be so pleased the day he finally fucking sells up.
Completely agree with this...although he'll clearly croak before he sells, or he'd have sold already.
Implements some shitty, hybrid version of having a Technical Director, without relinquishing overall footballing control to the appointed director, then when his shitty version of it fails at the first hurdle, rather than recognising it was badly introduced, blames the entire model (conveniently forgetting it's working for many) and reverts to his model which is proven to fail after many years of failure.
Horrible odious toad of a man.

Some rumour about Potts being able to be recalled in Jan? Portsmouth manager has tried to reassure their fans that he doesn’t expect West Ham to recall him?
Look he won’t necessarily transform that central midfield but from the 2 games for Pompey on TV I’ve seen he is a better than Rodruiguez and certainly quicker than Alvarez, Paqueta and Soler. He works hard and rarely gives it away with very high passing accuracy.
OK its the Championship but we don’t have the money ( PSR rules allegedly ) to buy our way out of the mess we’re in and it might not make a difference as Lops tactics are flawed imo, but its got to be worth a try hasn’t it?
Anyway I will watch Potts on my dodgy Firestick against Sunderland ( today I think?) and see if he’s still playing well.
I suspect we wont recall him ( if its possible ) in another recruitment / squad management failure

If all these players who have only just joined want to leave, then surely that's on the manager?
Everyone else's role should all be about finding them and then bringing these players to the club.
Sure. Absolutely. But who hired the manger? Allegedly against the wishes of his sporting director, who really needs a manager on the same page as himself. He 'chose' Stiedten over Moyes and supposedly empowered him to revamp modernise and run the football side but then immediately cuts his nuts off and makes everyone's job multitudes harder for absolutely stupid reasons (old boy's club/agent and cheapness) by hiring a manager Stiedten didn't want to or think he could work with. We are in proper disarray all of SUllivan's making once more.
This sort of bullshit is why we won't ever make meaningful progress while Sullivan is at the helm. He needs to either leave all this to Stiedten and allow him sufficient time (at least a couple of season) with his choice of manager to succeed or fail, or just fire him and run it himself like he obviously is itching to, the fucking control freak.

I would not expect Ashworth to join or last long in “Sullivan’s Circus” as he wouldn’t be able to do his job either.
Of course a few million in salary can help conpensate but ultimately any coach, manager or DOF worth his salt would think twice about joining a club where the owner still makes all the key footballimg decisions

When/if Potter arrives I wouldn’t be shocked to see Dan Ashworth as well.
I don’t see how Steidten can be at the club if he’s not allowed to do his job.

Are there other clubs being run like a fucking nuthouse, or are West ham the only one.
Sullivan wanting his salthouse deals, a manager wanting his, and Steidtwn lining up others. Even Brady has been voicing her wishes to get Potter.
Can they just get the fuck away from the club? If that meant we had to go down I'll gladly take that route.

best player to ever play for West Ham if we actually got the deal over the line.
Dear oh dear, a statement and a half, that!
Moore, Hurst, Peters, Brooking, Bonds, Devonshire, Di Canio, Carrick, Cole, Payet to name just a few, you sit this one out..
I actually agree, Rashford would be a monumental signing
