If you prefer plot driven to character driven stories then Succession might not be your thing. The White Lotus has more plot twists but similarly dark comedy. Episodes run from 54-65 mins but there's only 6 episodes and it doesn't outstay its welcome.

Take Dallas for example, that was essentially about a squabbling family, but had a load of sub plots and different things going on all over. "ted fenton 2:01 Wed Dec 1 Fully agree Ted S2 is a bit far fetched; try the book it’s King at his most outlandish! S3 on the other hand is very good Almost a stand alone story, with a slim continuation of the original story! I’d recommend sticking with S2 just to complete it. But defo watch S3"
