"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Southbank Tough game they are looking good Defensively we look good and are getting better week by week Gregory could be back and parsons just seems to get better every week. They need to cut the penalties out but I will say we've had some unbelievable officiating especially in the raiders and Kansas games Offensively is my worry which is not what I was expecting to say. We seem to be putting good numbers up but when you actually watch the games just don't seem to be playing that well. Personally I'd like to see a lot more of pollard and a lot less of zeek cos if we can get the running game going again it opens up the whole offence again. There's still an outside chance of top seed as we have the cards at home penultimate game but we can't have any slip ups before then.

"Not going to be a pushover for the Cowgirls in Washington, though, Norf. The Girls should win it, on paper. But as TM has been pointing out, there is a real team spirit within that ex-Skins squad. They're well drilled, they've got some real strength on the lines and make opponents work for it. I like the way things are building in Washington after years of mediocrity. They give hope to the hopeless - like the Jets! Should be a good Boys/ex-Skins game. Hope it harks back to the big battles in the 80s."

Think Sunday will decide the nfc east especially if we beat Washington Apart from the cardinals nobody really looking like they're not capable of slipping up at any moment

"That Washington link is superb! That's what a united dressing room looks and feels like. And that matters when games are on the line. I get the feeling that's what West Ham's dressing room is like right now, in terms of team unity etc."

"Btw, I'm becoming quite proud of the way the Jets find new ways to trouble the record books every week this shitshow descends further towards the actual fires of hell. So, this week, we became the first team in NFL history to score three touchdowns and still end up with just 18 points - because we missed TWO extra-point kicks and then gave up even trying for them. We cut the shit kicker (as opposed to shitkicker) we drafted and replaced him with the man who couldn't beat the shit kicker in practice...and, lo and behold, the worst kicker on the Jets roster (out of a field of two) turned out to be worse than the best kicker at the Jets. Who was a shit kicker. Feck knows what piece of unwanted history awaits us next week. Shitkickers!"

"TM - your lot look like a team. A proper team where everybody is pulling in the same direction and generally knows that they're doing, even in those areas where they lack quality. Good, solid football and it keeps you competitive against most sides. I'd bite your arm off for that right now!"

"Grump - couple of years ago, we'd have bitten your arm off for Jimmy G! He is struggling, though. I actually think he's an ""ok"" QB under the right coach and in the right system. He's never going to be great or in that elite class within the NFL. The 49ers expect so much better, historically, which is fair enough when they've had the likes of Montana, Young etc. But he would do a job for some sides. The problem you've got that is that Lance is waiting in the wings and the inevitability of his take-over as starting QB means everybody is picking more holes than ever in Jimmy G's game. The system being developed in Frisco is also a system that suits Lance more than Jimmy - understandably. In that sense, he's on a hiding to nothing."

That performance was a classic Jimmy G one. I just hope Lance can step up when he becomes starter. Some of Shanahan's calls were pretty questionable as well.

"Another fucking useless performance from the Jets. One step forward, two steps back so far under Saleh. He really is bang on course to be yet another of our two-season wonders as HC. He's now 12 games into a likely 34-game stint and his first season will be a losing one. I don't mind that, but there's little sign of progress on offense, defense or special teams - yet he just gives us puff, bluster and hot air after each game. Just five games left this season, plus next season for him. His next 22 games and the 2022 Draft will need to be significantly better."

"The Non-Skins kept the ball for 40 mins? Jesus! The only way the Jets can manage that at the moment, would be to literally steal the ball and shove it up their jersey. We celebrate if a drive goes over three minutes. Or three plays."
