So did Ings what? I don't think he's in the same class as Callum (always scores against us) Wilson. Four goals in 52 apps is terrible return, Wilson had 47 in 113 at Newcastle which is decent.

I'd like more ins and outs by now but I'm pleased with the players we are bing linked to. Longer term thinking seems to finally be kicking in in terms of the profiles we are looking at. I just wish we'd had this plan a year ago when we had the chance and money to properly rebuild but Lopetegui chose waste money and squad spaces on Kilman, Soler, Rodriguez and Fulkrug.

We have a much better chance of getting Morton.

Harvey Elliott would be a great get, but I just cannot see it happening. Him and a high energy box to box or CDM would be lovely business.

Have we not sold Cornet yet? What a strange signing that was. I guess if he comes back like with Aguerd it will be like a new signeing.

The truth is, those 2 games aside, he struggled.

We wouldn't be doing £20mil on a bloke in that position if we didn't have to.

Not saying you Faux but I really can't see why being up against 1 of the world's best attacking wingers and Champions elect Team where we only conceded once during that time at Anfield would be something that's held against Scarles. Especially considering he made such a fantastic impact prior to that picking up impressive PERSON of the Match performances away against Arsenal and Villa in the Cup amongst other positive performances he also made in his breakthrough Premier League season. 

I would have preferred we made him our mainstay but we've gone this route now with this new chap we'd expect to be the main man for the money we've forked out on him. 

As some others point out, it's not quite sure how Potter intends to play him so there are some unanswered questions about how exactly they'll be played and prioritised. All I hope is that there has been real thought and logic behind it all.
