"Gave Domina a go because I am a bit obsessed with ancient Rome. It is hard to express how terrible it is in absolutely every way. They have taken one of the most dramatic and we'll documented periods in Roman history and turned it into a school play. The acting, dialogue, pace, casting and anything else you can mention is like something you would expect from a group given an assignment at a drama class. TV is getting really shit. The quality of production is falling off a cliff. This is obviously meant to pick up from where Rome left off. They shouldn't have bothered."

"Swiss I didn't want to say anything to you the other day, but the Telegraph panned Domina their review. Shame, because I loved 'Rome' and was hoping Domina was going to be as good."

"Got around to watching Top Boy. Didn't think it was that great, but it did get better as it went along and the story lines developed. Didn't bother with the original summerhouse ones which I think was the right decision innit."

Ozark is a bit of harmless fun. It also dispelled the myth that all Hillbillies are brainless morons who eat and fuck each other.

"I’m more intrigued into how things are going to develops than how far fetched it is, I mean the fact it’s mainly based on him talking his way out of impossible situations sets the stall out on it deliberately being far fetched."

I thought Ozarks was ridiculous. Some good acting but ludicrous storylines. It just seems to be a vehicle for Hollywood types to point at Middle America and laugh about how stupid they are.

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
We've just finished all 3 series of Ozark Swiss and totally agree top drawer and can't wait for series 4.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Can't wait for season 4 of Ozark. Arguably the best series around. Btw it took me 2 attempts to get into this. I don't think it starts too well but boy give it 3-4 episodes and you're hooked.

"I think The Shield is pretty much a one off for long running series, especially those with a continuous main storyline. Normally they run out of steam within 3 or 4 seasons but The Shield actually builds up momentum in 5, 6 and 7 and ends perfectly."
