Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.
Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

fraser,
Just stop making excuses mate. It's embarrassing.
Making excuses for the player?
Nope I'm condemning the cause of it all
"need to sell before we buy"
Sell our player it was caused by him..
There's an easy to follow time line here, even for those that are a bit slow...
Someone who loves to mug the fan base off and is only interested in his own gains, if you're gullible enough to fsll for it all so be it..

Bloke kicks up a fuss about playing in a non favoured position because we have better in his preferred, almost downs tools, then agitates for a move to Spurs. Not his fault though, he’s just ambitious and everyone else is to blame.
You keep saying this happened I saw no evidence of it.. How do you know this?
Also didn't he contribute massively while playing in that position the season before.
As much evidence as you have that they were the only club interested I suppose. Sounds like he also put in a transfer request, but you probably deny that, too?
Are you suggesting he didn’t have a fall out with Lopetegui and then act a cսnt last season, including getting himself banned for six games for petulant behaviour at his new employers?
Not sure what evidence you have about his character to think he hasn’t pushed for this move. Everything points to him being a huge cսnt.
Yeah cause I'm sure all the other bids that were made were kept secret and out of the media...
Oh and half the team at least fell out with floppy..
That's a lot of words to answer how do you know this, a simple 'I don't it's my guess' would have sufficed,
I'll await the next thing shit this cսnt of a chairman does and see if any of you who think it isn't him blame him, I suppose it all depends on your opinion of the player.
So what if he put in a transfer request after we gave them permission to speak to him, that just means we got to sell him because we didn't have to pay him anything... Which suited us because we needed to sell him

Laughable apologies being made for Kudus.
Feels like a lot wish him well.
I get everyone hates Sullivan, but fuck we’ve turned soft.
Haven't read anyone say they wish Kudus well. Most, including me, have said they hope he's a dismal failure at Spurs. No one's said they're going to clap him on his return either. It's pretty telling that it's the likes of twoleftfeet and Mad Ferret who have it in for him though.

Moyes's first full season? Went from finishing 16th the previous season, to 6th.
I could see in the last set of games that season Moyes had solved a lot of problems and we were looking pretty good tbh
We took the form the end of that season into the next. That’s why we were so strong that year.
Which is exactly why I’m so worried about this season. After watching football for so many years now it’s obvious to me that you take your form from the end of the last season into the next one. The pre-season thing seems like utter bollocks to me. The idea that you can give a coach “his own” players and a pre-season and that’s what they need to be successful is rubbish.
what they need is full competitive games! That’s when you learn the most about your team and the league and what to do.
the thing with Potter is that he’s had 6 fucking months of competitive football! No one gets that much time to practise and work out how to fix a team. It’s an eternity in football terms.
he was saved by loppys far better record in the 1st half of the season (which sounds mad) and spurs / Man U (so called big 6 teams) performing equally badly (at least spurs had an excuse).
so I’m totally worried about the next season. Nothing looks good. The only hope we have is that somehow by magic they unearth a Payet level player that drags everyone up a notch. But from a coaching point of view, I see nothing.

He was late to training twice recently btw.
Still, all Sully's fault.
Was you there then?
It's amazing how much bullshit comes out about our players and club, and most accept its that till a bit of confirmation bias comes in then they're happy to believe it..
Besides everyone in Romford is late for everything at the moment the roads are all fucked.

I reckon if it was obvious that the owner of the company I worked for, and my boss, didn't want me around, then I'd look to move away and not really be fucked about coming into work also.

We probably would have been relegated without the break... But not sure you can say the next season was due to it
The lockdown had a huge impact on results, especially regarding home advantage. For the first time us not being in a proper football stadium wasn't a hindrance, whereas the lack of crowds made things worse for other teams. It also impacted training and how players were used on the pitch. There was much less pressing and counter pressing from all teams, which suited us.
The players were naturally full of confidence going into the following season but within a couple of months of the lockdown being over everything was back to normal and we were mostly shit again.

All we need then is another global pandemic and lockdown. Extremely doubtful that we'd have finished top half if that hadn't happened.

Btw Henderson is off to Brentford.
Lose all your best players and manager then go and sign Henderson and the Liverpool reserve keeper and put the set-piece coach in charge
Does everyone still think they’re so well run?

The geezers an absolute cսnt and we're well shot of him. Getting £55m is actually good business from us.

The window shaping up as expected. The “Sullivan Effect” in full flow so I still dont expect any incoming signings until Emerson and Aguerd and possibly one or two others are sold. August at the eatliest. Sullivan wont commit to anything until he has cash flow from sales in place.
We will start the season with the same team we ended the last with perhaps this left back Diouf being the only new face. Sullivan will leave things to the last week or so of the window for any other additions to undermine chances of getting other Macaulay and Potter targets which essentially gives him more control of who comes in as he is “forced” ( cough ) to turn to favoured agents to get players like Wilson, Brownhill, Calvert Lewin, Zinchenko etc all players that will be either old, injury prone and thus continue the disasterous rrecruitment we have seen at West Ham in the last 15 years Sullivan has owned and controlled the club.

I think that for Kudus Spurs are as much a stepping stone as West Ham has been. He will need though to dramatically up his game to move up another level from Spurs.
Curious that nobody seems to have commented that, unusuall, he’s a big money buy that we’re making a reasonable profit on.

Parker 3x player of the year, gave everything for the club, only left because we were relegated and he had international ambitions. You’ve topped my most idiotic comment. Well done.
Not sure why the fans voting Parker player of the year 3x makes him less of a Judas. Some would say that makes him more of one. We took him to our hearts and he demanded a move to our no 1 rivals. Kudus means very little to us as supporters. Just a decent player we had for a couple of years who we need to sell and we're making a profit on. Your hatred of him is misplaced and frankly laughable. As for ambitions, is Kudus allowed none? Should he carry on ruining his own career being played out of position at a club that's both poorly managed on the field and poorly run off it?

Sullivan has form for smearing every player on their way out, when he knows fans are likely to be annoyed about it. Tries to make it all about the player being unreasonable or a bad egg.
I don’t think Kudus gave his all last season but Sullivan has been hawking him publicly for ages and then starts releasing stories about him not going to training or being late or forcing his hand or whatnot. Just a snide effort to cover himself.

I see on this forum that a lot of supporters are getting at each other
I think this is a sign that we are all gutted.
Nothing new with supporters arguing and getting at each other, been like that as long as I’ve posted on WHO, which is around 25 years! FMOB
But would agree on being gutted, think many have had enough and can’t be arsed at times, most seasons are pretty shit for us, the odd time we do have a decent season we always seem to fuck it up the next rather than use it to step up a level or show any ambition
But I suppose for the board and owners as long as we can fill the stadium, have the TV money roll in and retain PL status that seems to be job done, never mind the fans wanting better.
Never have I felt so unenthusiastic about an upcoming season, would love to be wrong and we somehow have a blinder but I think that’s just for my dreams

Have we ever had a season in recent memory where expectations were rock bottom and we had a blinder (relatively) because I can't think of any? I'm really clutching to a ray of hope here because it's happened plenty of times the other way round.
Sadly I agree. I have zero expectations this season. I’m just hoping to cling on to survival. I’m not excited about any matches.
its nuts.

No amount of hating Sullivan changes the fact he joins the likes of Ince, Lampard, Defoe.
One of the most idiotic things I've ever read on here. Well done.
Did he wear a Spurs kit before signing? No.
Has he talked about hating the club? No.
Did he put in a transfer request or force a move in any way? No.
Kudus probably did less to warrant the Judas tag than Rice or Parker but those two generally get off scot free.
Parker 3x player of the year, gave everything for the club, only left because we were relegated and he had international ambitions. You’ve topped my most idiotic comment. Well done.
I’d agree entirely with Rice. Left him out as we have loads of his fanboys on here as well, and couldn’t be bothered waking those up as well as the Kudus ones.
Hope you give him a nice clap when he returns.
