NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
Fucking hell Nutjob Nutsy piping up as usual. Even with Cam Akers rupturing his Achilles the Rams will still finish above his shithouse mob.
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Lee Haven't seen much of him yet but according to reports he is as advertised. He has a big arm, can make all the throws, has mobility too, so Defenses are gonna have to keep an eye on his running. Our wr's are good and have another year under their belt. Samuel and Aiyuk along with Kittle is all good. Jalen Hurd is a mismatch, we drafted him 2 years ago, however he hurt his back in year 1 then tore an all in year 2. Has only played a handful of snaps in pre season so far. Apparently he is now healthy, if he can stay healthy he will be a weapon, especially in the red zone. I expect Jimmy G to start game 1 and reports are he looked sharper at the OTA's. However I expect we will see Lance sooner rather than later, by week 5 would be my guess. The negative on him is that he played his college ball at a small school and not against the best college athletes, however he won every game. I trust Kyle Shanahan, will be interesting to see how Lance picks up the play book. It took Matt Ryan a year to learn it, second year Atlanta went to the Super Bowl. So we will see if Lance is as smart as Shanahan says. He also needs to learn how to read defenses and how to pick up the blitz. So a lot of unknowns of course but I can't wait to watch him play. We gave up a lot of draft capital to get him, hope he is worth it."

"The Chiefs look even stronger this year. They only had to strengthen their O line and they've done that well. My money would be on them if I was betting. Not sure we'll be winning with Jimmy G. What's your take on Lance, Nutsin?"

"Nutsin 6:00 Tue Jul 27 ""Put your money on the red and gold, you won't be disappointed."" On the other hand, the black and gold (Saints) are worse at 3 or 4 positions and are missing some key pieces (Thomas, Onyemata) to start the season. Fun times."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Football is almost here. Niners are healthy, some much needed new faces on the O line, Mack at center and Banks the rookie at right guard, both long overdue and a new swing tackle too. Gotta protect Jimmy G and our new Franchise QB Lance. Bosa is back and whispers are that Dee Ford is healthy too. We even have some depth at our pass rushing position this year. A couple of new faces at Running back too! Also we drafted a couple of new CB's. Burnsey you slag! I'm Looking forward to beating down the arms again this year! Niners to win it all this year, It's our year! Put your money on the red and gold, you won't be disappointed."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"One of the Jets' quarterback coaches, Greg Knapp, died in a cycling accident late last week. Big blow to Saleh's new staff plan: Knapp had worked with some of the best QBs of the past 40 years - Steve Young, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan etc - and was seen as a guy who could help develop Zach Wilson. We've still got a good OC, and a decent QB coach, but it's a big loss. Poor fella. Got hit by a vehicle while out on his bike."

"Rodgers has got a face that needs slapping at least half hour every day. Not those girly slaps the French public dole out to their politicians, proper knockout slaps like those Russians dish out in that mad slapping competition they play."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"You know the situation is bad when the Packers bring in Blake Bortles from free agency. Looks like a case of two stubborn fuckers - Rodgers and, er, the Packers' back-office leadership - unwilling to bend. Rodgers won't miss the cash from the fines, that's for sure. But they all seem to be screwing up the Packers' chances of another run at the Superbowl. They drafted quite well, too, so they have some decent new weapons."

"That guy is a tank. It's ridiculous how many key carries he has on average per game without getting busted up. No slouch, either. That could be quite a trio for the Titans."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Henry's body must be due a breakdown soon. He is a battering ram and has been used a lot. It's a rare running back who can keep that workload up without serious injury stepping in.

Julio jones to the titans is just about done. Good luck stopping him and AJ Brown while also accounting for Derrick Henry

"considering this part of the pre-season is now voluntary in terms of attendance, the skins had 86 players participating in the first day of OTAs. Ron's plan :.)"

That said- it's on the assumption you were planning to be in Vegas already regardless of the game. Probably not worth a special trip over.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Raiders games will be incredibly expensive now. They'll have a massive pull for tourists from everywhere and i bet the casinos have loads of season tickets for comps. Best bet is probably going to be to try and get something on the day of the game or leading up to it through resell or a tout. The stadium, I think, is only about a 10 minute walk from the Luxor or Mandalay bay and no doubt there will be loads of free transport going to/from the strip anyway."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"It's mad, isn't it? The Raiders charge a fortune to watch their shite! I'm definitely at the Jets/Atlanta game at Tottenham. Our lot rightly won't allow themselves to lose a home game from their schedule, so this is only the second time they'll have played an ""away""ù game here. Covid permitting, of course."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Schedule announced, straight on ticketmaster to see how much it will set me back to see my Fins demolish the Raiders in their fancy new home. $350 for a nosebleeder, north of two grand for anything in the lower bowl. Jacksonville at The SpursBowl it is then."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah i think that's probably true about the rake as well. At the other stadiums the first few rows are covered off so the crowd can see over all the players and staff on the sidelines. I think they'd have to cover the first 20 rows or so at LS so people can see properly. There's definitely a long enough area to accommodate an NFL field, though."
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Not sure about that. If so how does Wembley/Twickenham cope with NFL. That said it's still too small, awful rail routes and no room for a decent tailgate. Went to the Raiders v Bears game in 2019 and was very underwhelmed by the stadium, especially after all the knicker wetting about it."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"wrong, our ground is too shallow a rake for NFL, Spurs remove football pitch to an even lower NFL pitch, and their dressing rooms are purpose built for huge squads ."
