"Whatever your plans tonight make sure you leave aside half an hour to watch the first two episodes of Staged on iPlayer. If you liked The Trip then set aside an hour and a half to watch all six of them. David Tennant and Michael Sheen play themselves dialled up and down a few notches as their director attempts to get them to rehearse a West End play in lockdown. It's great stuff, largely filmed in Zoom format and with a couple of excellent surprise cameos. Upload was pretty good. The Good Place meets Black Mirror and scores a solid 6.5 out of ten. We're now three episodes into Unorthodox, which shows a world - even as one of The Tribe myself, I'm amazed, shocked and rather embarrassed by. If by some remote chance there is a God I can't see it wanting anyone to live like that. Shira Haas does a great turn as Kosher Eleven, especially as she had to learn a new language in just two months for the part."

Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads | Netflix I thought I was quite well versed in the goings on behind closed doors during World War II. I was wrong. The Eyewitness accounts and from those that actually took part in the killings are proof that human beings are capable of carrying out acts of apocalyptic evil personified.

"I know it might be a bit of a chore to some of you, subtitles an all, but I've been ploughing through Gomorra the last few weeks. Very good. Took a couple of episodes to get really going but so far (i'm now on S3) it's been first class. Mrs N hates it and pisses off to bed when I put it on so more the reason to watch but it is definitely worth the effort."

Joe C 9:41 Totally agree fella. Thought the original film was quality. The TV series isn't far behind imo. Also think pretty much anything Matt Berry's in is worth a watch. Obviously helps if you appreciate that type of humour. Flight Of The Conchords was also a decent watch.

Looks can be deceiving Manuel. And anything that Taika Waititi has a hand in is always excellent

"I sometimes use to 'buy into' these 'fucking brilliant' shows, until I watched a couple and they were nowhere near. What we do in the shadows looks fucking dreadful. Succession is little more than decent. Still, each his own (apparently)"

"Just finished Fargo season 3. Seen a few suggest the best was S2, thought S1 was the best with 2&3 both taking a while to get going. Decent watch thought hope they make more."

"I started The Dark and kept my interest up to the time travel stuff and I gave it up. Basically, the whole premise of the film. It's a bit like saying I enjoyed Line of Duty, up to the bent coppers stuff."

"BeauLarkyBuff 12:45 Fri Jun 12 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls I thought White Lines was dreadful'' The whole storyline of White Lines was built around who killed the DJ, but the viewer didn't give a monkies who it was. Must be the worst 'who done it' I have ever seen."

"Snowfall is similar to the Wire mainly in that they're both about drug dealers. It's not as good but still pretty decent and worth watching. It's about how the crack epidemic in early 80s LA started and pretty much blames it on the CIA, which is debatable. Decent acting, including the lead actor, who's actually from Peckham."
