Any half decent side left in the EL will make easy work of us they way we're playing. How are those contract negotiations coming along?

If Cornet could play a simple pass that goal never happens. Or if we could find a centre back that doesn't drop a clanger every other game.

A lot of us thought we would end mid table and not qualify for Europe. That's the realistic scenario if we are all honest. Injuries and squad depth ( Moyes responsibility ) are reasons why we will likely slip down a few places second half of the season and we ain't winning the Europa. Only a miracle bit of transfer business in the next 16 days changes that which is highly unlikely That is effectively a going backward so should see Steidten looking for a new manager

"Not writing as a direct response to to ights shitfest so far at HT but really the media constantly telling us West Ham fans are being harsh on Moyes is srivkbg me insane. If we lose tonight irrespective of injuries it's his fault. We should have lut the tie to bed when one up but as usual at home, we score and sit back. Bew contract? Why because he beat Man Utd and Arsenal? Wait until the end of the season. I think the more than likely outcome is out of all cups (great chance in Qfinal to give it go, great chance to progress at home in FA cup to Bristol City) and the Eufa isn't the conference league, we'll have to beat very good teams to win it. Realistic outcome tgis season is 10-13th in league snd no cup runs. With thr money spent and crap football served up ask yourself does this merit a new contract? How many points away from the relegation zone were we last season?"

"half term report from the BBC: Sixth - West Ham United David Moyes still seems a taste yet to be acquired by some West Ham United fans. It is a mystery why that is the case after he won the Europa Conference League last season and has them riding high in the Premier League, with the recent win at Arsenal a particular highlight. The Hammers possess the traditional Moyes traits of organisation and durability but also have Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus providing the 'X Factor'. There is plenty to look forward to in the second half of the season - and they are doing much better than I predicted, although he did get the signings after the season had started and my predictions were made that I felt he needed. McNulty's pre-season prediction: 11th."

"It's the old school approach to team building: the manager's ego is the only reference point and subject; all other personal qualities are ignored or suppressed, if necessary by violence. So it's OK for the big kid who takes orders but not so supportive of individuals with skills and talent to offer. The manager's ego approach to team-building doesn't work any more in top-flight football as we have seen, especially in the atrocious performances following half time, where Moyes clearly brings it most to bear on the players. It was the rock that scuttled Ferguson at Man U. so perhaps Moyes wants to prove a point. Well, now's the time to do it - he can no longer rely on the talent he has to suppress. Now he has to make do with Soucek and Ings. Maybe Emerson and Álvarez will show up but then again maybe they won't."

"Like a lot of managers, with the exception of say the Greek fella at Spurs and O'Neill at Wolves and some others, Moyes can't be trusted with what he says. He's a liar like so many others or at best he lacks integrity. His comments are bizarre sometimes. But perhaps that is how u survive as a manager for so long? Half the pundits talk bollox and believe what they are saying but easy money so basic human survival instinct to look after number 1 :-). He's kept as away from relegation except for last season and delivered a trophy but s a master bullshitter and lacks humility when t comes to his career. He's not alone but it's hard to stomach. Bit like my posts really :-)"

With all these injuries Moyes might have to go for a bit more of a defensive strategy lol

injury seems to flip flop from calf to knee to calf. Might have a better idea of his absence if they work out which bit is injured

Pacqueta has flatly denied the 6 to 8 weeks story on his twitter page . And is apparently walking around normally without a cast or crutches .

I suspect Fornals and Benrahma to be his wide men as they want to sell Benny for money. :-) That idea will have man club owners rolling in the aisles assuming they seen him play this season? A loan is the only possibility imo of Benrahma getting even hair out the door as they will want to see if he's got anything to offer in their system / team. He has btw but as a no 10 which is his correct position but one Moyes never played him in even before Paqueta was around

"Perhaps a good test of the managers skills to cope without our 3 best players. I suppose the only positive is that apart from the Bristol replay and Sheffield Utd away we have a quiet-ish schedule til Feb1 Without Bowen or Kudus you'd hope Cornet and Marshall play as wide forwards and the likes of Orford, Earthy or Kodua are involved"

"Paqueta confirmed 6-8 weeks out. Well, for those of us who have been bored out of our fucking brains with him... Wow, it's going to be the worst stuff imaginable."

"Boots - The point still stands, we are not in a position of luxury to piss around with our 3 best players and if we did guaranteed people would moan, and since when have you been such an expert on such things? You can blame injuries to Paqueta and Bowen on Moyes, hardly likely to miss that opportunity, was you, but I don't. I want Moyes gone in the summer too, but I wouldn't blame the cսnt if I left my gas on."

"Manuel 11:59 Wed Jan 10 I never said that at all ! I was using an explanation of game management FFS On flip side, 60 mins in and we are at deadlock or even down what does Moyes do ?, carries on playing same players, same tactics It's almost as if he's too stubborn to change as it reflects bad on his tactics from the off"

"Yea right, I broke your balls a bit on the topic being discussed and you proceed to launch into a personal tirade speculating about where I live and my social life, and hardly the first time you've done it either, is it. Pretty pathetic, no? Maybe next time have a think first before posting and being a prick."

"You're a sad, bitter man aren't you Side. I can only imagine what you must look like in real life. I don't know why you bother trying to be a cyber bully as you're not very good at it, even after doing it for 20 years on here, and I'm the sad one? Now off you do and have the last word as usual, I'm off out to to see some ladyboys."
