The Idiot Gase's latest example of his brilliant 'quaterback whisperer' career was to watch Sam Darnold, former #3 overall pick and rated by many as the best young QB in the 2018 draft, fluff his lines all night against a very average Fish defence. I rated Darnold as a solid pick at the time - and still think he has talent. But he's been ruined by Gase's lack of quality and inability to develop players - basically, the kid has been left to try to improve himself for three years. Which misses the point of very expensive coaching staff. Personally, I think there's a case to be made for keeping Darnold and kick-starting his career under a proper coach. But there seems to be an increasing view in New York that the kid's days as Jets QB are coming to an end already. Rumours abound that Trevor Lawrence will declare for the 2021 draft. As things stand, it's goingt be a straight 'fight' between the Jets and Jags for the #1 pick. But there have been a few rumours this week that Lawrence might reject the idea of coming to New York (word is he will wait to see which HC replaces Gase). There is talk of the Cowgirls trading up from #3 or #4 (where they currently sit in the draft order) to get Lawrence. But the Girls would have to pay a hefty price for that - even to move up two or three spots. Seems that the lunatic Jerry Jones is contemplating a big deal if the Girls finish within touching distance of a trade. One tiny positive for the Jets this week: Denzel Mims - a very fine, big and aggrssive receiver who we picked up in the second round this year - is healthy for the first time and looks a good prospect. Let's just hope TIG can't destroy his career in record time before he departs."

One small tick in the column for things Mahomes doesn't do so well. At 27-17 in the last quarter he keeps snapping the ball with double figures seconds on the play clock. Could be something I'm missing but it seems like poor time management to me.

You can't beat sheer pace. Remember seeing him a couple of years ago when he was just a special teams return merchant and he scored a couple of touchdowns that were jaw dropping.

Make that 200 yards and 2TDs in the 1st qtr. I'm painfully aware of it because I was giving my Fantasy opponent a kicking before that vicious midget turned up.

Seems like there are wow moments every week now - Hill has 158 yards in one quarter!
