On official site the club have listed Antonio as a free agent

 

It would be nice if we could give him a five minute run out on Saturday. Probably won’t happen but it would be great to say goodbye.

Not sure anyone bar Saudi will offer him any more than our Wilson type deal
If I had to guess I think he will retire & take up a role at the club plus do some media work
Sure he will make an appearance at an early home game for a farewell 

I'm not sure he won't be back for an absolute pittance after the transfer window closes and we haven't signed any other strikers, TBH.

Be interesting to see how he feels about his 'mate' Wilson basically nicking his squad place.

Officially gone. Deserved a much better send-off than that end of the season after all his mammoth contribution to the Club this past decade. 

I'd also sooner have Antonio on 1 robocop leg as a 3rd/4th Striker back-up than perma-crock himself Wilson for just 1 season. To think we swapped out a proper West Ham player for that twat.  

And yes of course what I say is mostly driven by sentimentality but some things do actually mean something to me in the game.

Was he running in a straight line or in circles?

The club have announced what they are doing. He is a free agent until his medical situation (which they will continue to pay for) is clear. If all goes well, they will re-sign him, in the meantime he is free to leave if someone else is dumb enough to sign him.

My view is his ‘medical situation’ is that he is a 35yo who has been in a major car accident 
Even without the accident it was time to move on
Now it’s a no brainer
Sentimentality or penny pinching in not wanting to buy a replacement?

For some reason this had me thinking of Mik as some sort of mountain goat.

with his age and Injury history…plus leg fractures the only sensible deal is Pay if you Play…

Carlton Cole all over again when we sign fuck all and fulkrugg gets injured. 

He'll be like a new signing.

Have to say didn't realise he was 35! That is getting on. Still wouldn't mind seeing him coming on from the bench when needed. But difficult to move on for me with some players.

I don't want to see him play in a West Ham shirt again personally.

Grateful for what he has done for the club to date, but if he is in our squad next season it can only mean that, once again, the recruitment team have failed to find a striker.

I wish him well, but having to rely on a 35 year striker who could barely walk a couple of months ago, would be a huge indication of just how pathetic this club is run these days.

Nota dig at Antonio, but at the club.
