Wikibollocks[/sup]No one seems to blame DiCanio for that season we went down. But if I remember correctly wasn’t DiCanio allergic to away fixtures that whole season? There was something odd as he was always unavailable for selection. We also missed Kanoute for most of that season as well.
The final nail in the coffin was it being the first year the transfer window was introduced and Roeder couldn’t just buy a player when he needed. I don’t think clubs were used to stocking up and having a squad to deal with eventualities. All these factors just doomed us from what I remember.regarding away games, he (Paolo) was in the squad against Spurs, Chelsea, Sunderland, Fulham, Villa, Leeds, West Brom & Birmingham (8)
So missed half of our away games. Through injury?? It was always odd. I thought that Roeder couldn’t control him and he just did what he wanted. But was crucial not having him in those games.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
I suspect the role is, as has already been mentioned, a poisoned chalice and every manager in the west will know it.
Sullivan will have to turn to someone somewhere like China or the Middle East - America even, who only has experience of the PL through television and is unaware of the way the club mis-operates.
6 months then rinse and repeat.
Sullivan will prove his ways are correct - he will, He Will, HE WILL!!!

Dyche is ferociously rubbing his thighs as we ponder...

Nuno. Offer him 5% of the club and get him in.

The most realistic option is either Cooper or Dyche.
I'd prefer Dyche out the two!

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Its a poison chalice as unless it happens imminently whoever comes in will be stuck with a squad that is well short of the standard.
Even in January there is no guarantee Sullivan will back to the new man in the transfer market although by that time we could be neigh on relegated.
I guess whoever comes in will have to be shrewd tactically and find a system to compensate for the deficiencies in the squad else else we are doomed.
A thoroughly depressing state of affairs tbh.

Sullivan will probably appoint Russel Martin after he's sacked by Rangers.

He absolutely did. He didn't have him for any of the Championship games though as he left the Club by then.

He didn't in the Championship. The Messiah could turn anything dogshit in to wine. He had Neil cunting Mellor and Wayne fucking Quinn FFS to work with!
Only loss he suffered in his 14 matches was away to Gillingham where Defoe purposely got himself sent off just so he could force a move out the Club to Spurs. cսnt!

Can someone explain Nuno’s problems with Edu & the Fat Greek owner?
Kept Gibbs-White when he looked gone & has got him McAtee, Omari Hutchinson & Douglas Luiz
Imagine how he would react to short arms deep pockets Dave

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
I respected his wishes to not continue on due to her indoors and the family preferring he didn't, but I strongly believed at the time that he was the answer all along to our prayers, coming at just the right time and being the unifying appointment that everyone could truly get behind. I was so excited for the future once he was in charge only to then have my dreams dashed when he decided he wouldn't continue on due to family reasons.

She couldn't have been more wrong. We NEVER would have held it against him if it didn't work out.
He was the one for us since Lyall.
His record was insane for his 1st ever managerial appointment under desperate circumstances but wasn't a surprise knowing how Godly he is..
14 matches 9 wins 4 draws 1 loss 64.3% win ratio
