Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Ferret called someone DUDE on here a while back.

Anyone flying that about needs impaling in the face with an ice pick.

If we sold Paqueta today, even for really good money, we still have the vastly inferior Soucek, Ward-Prowse and Rodrigues in midfield. Why are we talking about selling the good one? What use is cash in the bank when you're going to have to use it to replace the starter you just sold whilst keeping the lesser players around simply because nobody else wants them?

The details from that altercation have now been released, someone shouted “guys you should be wearing the new Kappa kit”. Bowen was rightly upset and said that only a complete mong would believe such rumours.

Tuchel heard about this and instantly put Bowen in the squad.

Mainoo sounds like a yet-to-be-finished Robin Williams catch phrase.

Its not hard mate, Mainoo on loan is obviously a great deal if like the other Man Utd loaness of recent seasons he gets back near his best.  At his best, he walks into most teams let alone one fighting relegation like ours.

You talk about prem proven alot.......well Mainoo is prem proven, is less risk than Monaco's 3rd or 4th choice bloke no one had ever heard of till last week.

It's all about getting the best players in your team and a Mainoo at his best pisses over Fernandes or anyone else for £20m thats the whole point.

Out of curiosity how do you know a player you haven't watched gets pissed over by another player?

And even if he does he won't be our player... So we'll be down, on the other hand the other two  could make us a profit.

Oh and didn't we have the same with Ferguson last season "if he can get back to his best" of he doesn't he leaves us a player short with no upside ond more money wasted.

I like these two signings, could they turn to shit., absolutely this is us, but I'm looking forward to seeing them play for us, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised.

If he was better than Mainoo he would be starting for Monaco more regularly and be capped by France. You don't need me to explain that surely. We would have also heard of him before now.

If Mainoo plays well we will more than likely win more games, therefore get more money, be more attractive to future players or even just stay in the league for another season. Again surely thats just common sense.

We are in the fucking trenches at the moment, I am so worried about this season that stop gaps and just getting a decent 11 out is my main priority. Who do I think makes our 11 stronger this season? ...... Mainoo

He won't even pick up the phone from us anyway so lets hope this Monaco bloke is more Ngolo Kante than Nordveit
I was talking about Fernandes, crossed wires

This bloke may end up better than Mainoo and if he does he will be ours, he's behind two very good players for Monaco and he's a DM/CB which Mainoo isn't, which is why I thought you meant Fernandes

Oh ffs so on one thread you don't want to buy a player from a shit team and think we should buy a young European player for around the same amount as Magassa (it's not £20 million) on this thread you want to loan a player that will cost £5 million that couldn't get in a worse team than ours last season

But in the other thread you're saying there are loads of players in Europe that we could buy for a similar fee and turn a profit... But you'd rather be £5 million down and helping Man U than owning our own asset who will make a profit because as you said there are loads out there.

You're all over the show son

If Aguerd is actually pushing for a move to fucking Sunderland, you really have to question the mentality of the bloke. No drama if he goes but that's weird innit?

Also what do we make of  the talk of a mystery player that has been allegedly actively deterring potential targets from joining? Is that just the club putting that out there to cover their ineptitude? Weird goings on.

As it goes, Fernandes and Magassa on paper look to be really solid signings. Add a pacey striker and a big old nasty cսnt of a centre back and that'll do.

Mainoo was terrific when he burst onto the scene, talks of going Chelsea for £60m.  Man Utd is a toxic place, Rashford, Anthony both had big uptakes in form going out on loan.

Not wanting Mainoo for a year to keep us up over Monaco's third/fourth choice CM is bonkers.

Club expecting West Ham bid for star – Graham Potter a big fan of 24-year-old

Image

By Sean Lunt

West Ham United are keen on VfL Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer, with Graham Potter a particular fan of the 24-year-old.

That’s according to BILD, who report that West Ham could move for the Austrian before the end of the transfer window.

The newspaper reports that Wolfsburg are expecting activity at the club before the window comes to an end and the current focus is on Wimmer.

West Ham and Potter are big fans of the player and Wimmer is, in principle, not averse to making the move to the Premier League. He has long dreamed of playing in England.

The big problem is that he has a contract until 2027 and that doesn’t include a release clause. VfL’s management, including boss Peter Christiansen and sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz aren’t interested in letting the winger join West Ham this summer.

Wimmer is one of their best players and has started this season in good form, with an assist in the opening day 3-1 win over Heidenheim. The Austrian, though, wants to join a club that has a ‘permanent international presence’. Whether West Ham fall into that bracket is up for debate.

But they and specifically Potter like the player and are seemingly ready to make an effort to get him before the window closes.

Because they would hit us with a massive loan fee and they don't want to sell him, so we would pay that have no player at the end and be giving him game time.. Or alternatively we could buy a good young player and develop him and make a profit
