"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"crystal falace 8:31 Wed Aug 12 It did get bad like that for a while with money plays that couldn't be stopped. They have addressed that now so I think it has improved. I'm in the top 3% on H2H. If you fancy coming back to it, give me a shout."

"Is anyone into hockey? Ive been trying to watch some of it with the playoffs just starting but it just seems like chaos to me, follow a few people on twitter saying there's some good tactics going on but it just looks like dump it down the end and chase it. Saw the game last night lasted over 7 hours after going to a 5th overtime period! Dont know why they dont have a shootout at some point, looked great on the mighty ducks"

No havent played for ages last one i owned was probably madden 15. They all started feeling a bit samey. Then you try and play online and people just run the same 3 or 4 plays over and over again its very frustrating.

I dont begrudge sky or the bbc for doing it as i assume alot of people in this country are just starting to try and get into the NFL and it is a very complicated sport so they need to spoonfeed some of it to keep the viewers interested. But for people who understand the game now the American coverage is far superior and goes into the more nuanced version or the game as they assume their viewers already understand. For the record i found the best way to learn the game was madden on the xbox

"I much prefer watching the games on the NFL Gamepass app for that reason. The coverage of the games is much, much better. I also watch a lot of the sports talk shows during the week though and they are often terrible. Fake arguments and shouting are too often the order of the day. There was one notable exception, Speak For Yourself which had interesting, measured discussions. Unfortunately the host of that show has left though so I'm not sure how that will go now."

"Sky launching a 24/7 NFL channel starting early september, not sure what's going to be on it or what content you'll get. I always preferred the american coverage as English channels like sky and particularly BBC for the superbowl always seem to dumb everything down for newcomers"

Gotta admit I always like to see the Redskins competitive. Always root for them to win the NFC East. Shame they can't seem to get things right.

"watched the aaron hernandez doc series. I'm not sure even the producers were convinced with the angle they were pushing in regard to reasons for his behaviour. what I got out of it most was an even greater dislike for lawyers, if that was possible"

"As the old rap lyric goes ( referring to a different American-heavy sport): ""Either you're slinging crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot"" A lot of these players grew up with friends and family involved in crime. The smartest things is to leave it all behind but sometimes for good and bad reasons you don't. No idea about this specific situation and no excuse at the end of the day but there you go."

"Because some of these fools like to think that they are gangstarrrz, as well as professional sportsmen, especially some of the younger lot. Fecking idiots. Earning millions of dollars a year playing a sport they are very good at, but could now spend up to ten years in jail instead. If you can't weigh up that simple equation and make the right decision, then I have no sympathy for you whatsoever. And no excuses will suffice."

Actually made me lol thinking about these cunts mentality. That Baker was on 2.5 mil a year for 4 years after also getting a 5.5 mil signing bonus. I mean what the fuck did he need the robbery for other than a thrill?

The Baker one is weird. Why the fuck would a very highly paid do that sort of thing? Roid rage? They are both young so an Aaron Hernandez CTE flip out (that is such a sad story) is off otf the menu.
