"To me it seems that you deem anyone who does not call for Moyes to go immediately is per se a supporter. For myself I would rather Moyes had been shown the door during the WC 22 break. That did not happen and I thought and hoped he'd be off at the end of last season. Just because some of us do not constantly berate Moyes in the profane way that beta males, like you, do does not make us supporters."

I get fed up with posters that use words like tin pot and 3rd rate about our cup win. Are you Tottenham fans? Moyes has enough faults for you to criticise him endlessly. Why do you need to put the club down!

"to win the cup winners cup, you had to have won something first and beat others teams that had won something, rather than a collection of pub teams finishing 8th. only a thick cunts would compare the two. the players won that cup despite his medieval tactics"

"Can we not be honest then ffs? I'd love us to win the FA cup if we managed it and had an unbelievable draw where we only played lower league and poor PL teams, couldn't we say we're happy about winning it but played weak opposition, or would that be taboo?"

"It's not belittling it at all, it is what it is, it don't need belittling. Now we are not in it who is even looking at the results in it? How much press are Villa getting? Exactly. It's a second rate comp, not even a debate, but yes of course it was good to win it, not just because it's a trophy but it gained us entry into the EL this season, a proper completion."

It doesn't sit well with me when so called WH fans feel the need to belittle the Europa Conference win just to be able to slag off Moyes. There's plenty of reasons to slag him off without diminishing what he did do well.

"Manuel - of course it has its put sentiment into the equation, but shouldn't have done. Because our league form has been abysmal and there should be no room for it. twoleftfeet - I'm not demeaning our cup win at all, I was in Prague and had one of the best nights of my life, however it doesn't change the fact that the opposition were weak and every one we played hadn't spent anything near what we had. When we won the ECWC it was more of a level playing field too, I think that's a massive point that's flying over your head we weren't in the premier league and able to attract Brazilian internationals et al."

"I thought winning the Conference was tremendous but any English club (ie Villa this season) should make the final at least. That said having spent hundreds of millions and having talent like Paqueta, Bowen , Kudus & Alvarez losing 25 of 49 Premier league games is a clear sackable offence. Losing 5 out of 5 to Brentford (with all due respect to an excellent little club) is beyond belief."

Some of you cunts need a fucking good shake. Those of us that know about the clubs history can tell you that we won the ECWC in 1965 and we still go on about it yet the standard was the same as the Europa Conference. I'm convinced if ANY manager other than Moyes had won the cup you soppy cunts would be revelling in it but because it's him you decide to demean the competition. One of the greatest nights in the clubs history and you equate it to winning something like the Simod cup. I'll be glad when Moyes does leave so we can end this pathetic thread and hopefully manuel and his fellow Tena ladies can fuck off to whence they came.

"fraser - I know you wasn't. I think our only chance of winning it, apart from playing well of course, is that Liverpool slip up against someone, 'coz we ain't fucking beating them. Not to mention a few other god sides in it."

"Boots - Agree ref Europe, I was one of the biggest detractors on here about our cup win, a joke of a competition which has only just been invented for shit sides to have a go in Europe. I think the point here is that winning that comp,, and likely to top the group this season, makes it harder to justify sacking him. It's very likely he would have gone in the summer had we not won the ECL, I think that's the point here."

"Manuel - I wasn't talking about you, but there are quite a few on other platforms as well as the odd few here who are convinced he's some cup genius after finally winning one againsr weak opposition and are convinced he's our only chance of winning Europa.. They're happy to see us finish 17th in the league.. But this bloke has one of the most managerial appearances ever and win his only trophy last season."

"There's a lot of nonsense written about us in Europe Effectively we played a load of pub teams and our style suited that level Last season our European form masked the issues with Moyes and his performances in the league We lost 20 fucking games in the Prem last season Exactly the same is happening this season though the Europa has slightly better teams so we won't be all conquering Out of 11 games in the league sobfar we have lost 5, so the pattern remains the same We are not progressing with this cսnt in charge Of course we will get the odd special result, but that's what has always happened at West Ham Order will be returned against Liverpool, Moyes will go there to contain, it's a fucking cup game, you don't get points for drawing We will get battered 4-1 Everything about him screams safety first, no youngsters on the bench Low possession Defend deep It's depressing to watch"

Why would anyone think we would pick up? We have been dire since November 2021. Absolute bore fest football. The good start that season then the monthly win kept us around the top 7. There have been very few games where we have played well. I can take the tactics when it leads to an unexpected win or even a draw. The geezer is a cսnt!
