"IMO a new manager will have a recruitment requirement to bring in some pace and better technicians at RB and also midfield as well as up front. That's the issue with having Moyes recruit to his ""Moyesball""ù template which involves sitting deep in shape and quick counters / set pieces. No pace and movement that is required to press when out of possession, play through the lines / midfield and from the back. But having 2 wingbacks to overload down the flanks and better movement / control of a football up top - and above all else coaching the team to press and keep the ball better - will make watching far more exciting. Just hoping Steidten has his plan ready and managerial candidates already identified or secretly sounded out. It may be someone from or still operating in the Bundesliga? The dream would be someone like Alonso but he's doing very well at a Champs League club so it's just that a dream. Would Sullivan pay compensation to prize a manager from elsewhere ? "For us to have any chance of progressing in the League - He has to go. He is effective at what he does, but we now have a squad that can do more.
