"Although other sources give an average IQ of fifty for Down's syndrome people - may be a question of definition, as there are three types of Down's syndrome - extra chromosome, a chromosome with a duplicate bit of another chromosome attached, and mosaic, where only some cells have the extra genetic material."

"Watching ""No Offence"" - not great, but educational. First ep is about a serial killer who targets Down's Syndrome individuals. Didn't know that a) Down's Syndrome people have the vote; b) their average IQ is 80; c) the boundary between normal and subnormal intelligence is also 80, so half of Down's people are of normal intelligence (obviously, most of that half are in the lower part of the normal range); All this backed up by other sources. d) there is a demand for Down's prostitutes, both male and female. Don't want to check other sources - this is a work machine!"

So just finished season 4 of Ray Donovan. Started out poorly but got better. Not sure about the last episode though. Don't want to put up any spoilers but I thought it managed to be both far fetched and a little flat. You cunts ?

So disappointed with Mr Robot - gave up at the end of series 1 with the family thing. Load of old shit! Narcos on the other hand is absolutely superb.

crystal falace 10:26 Thu Sep 15 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Just finished the mid season finale of suits and jt was amazing!! One of the best shows out there! That's goddamn bullshit and you goddamn know it. Now get the hell out of my goddamn office. MR ROBOT on the other hand truly transcended the realms of television in the penultimate episode yesterday. It's crazy that the two shows are on back to back.

.....at the end of the day she can be the difference between them getting the sufficient grades to move to a better college so she has to have that close relationship otherwise they'd continue to fuck off lessons and fail

"collyrob, students at that college get a $300 fine if caught shagging in their rooms, no chance that bird would risk her career or future at another college by doing that. if she went anywhere near a player, it would be known by every cսnt at the university very quickly"

"Leroys Have you seen ""Riget (or ""The Kingdom"") by Lars Von Trier? Just two seasons which came out in 1994 and 1997. Subtitles, continental, and if you find anything more moody, let me know. It gets pretty freaky at times, but is also very funny at times. A danish cult classic."

"JONSEY I'm in the same boat. Just finished the 3rd series. Waiting for the 4th to finish, so I can watch it all on catch up. As for Voight, Mickey is the best character on the programme."

"Homicide series by the Wire bloke was pretty good, at least season 1 was, which is all I've seen so far. Love the stand up comic bloke who starts in it, who's always going on about ex-girlfriends and the benefits of the hemp plant."

"I wouldn't call re-watching the Wire a waste of 60 hours. Better that than spending 60 hours watching something new that's just mediocre. I often re-read books and re-watch films. Probably depends on whether you're more interested in the story or the story telling. If it's mainly the story and you're not so fussed about the writing, dialogue, acting, etc. then not worth it at all, but otherwise..."

"That's the thing Miike, I just think it is so much better than anything else I've ever seen in terms of the quality of the writing, the acting, the characters, dialogue....you name it. Most of all, every season and episode is worthwhile. Funnily enough, couple of years back I came across a copy of David Simon's book 'Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets' which was obviously the basis for that series and to some extent 'The Wire'. I couldn't believe how badly written it was. I still struggle to see how he went from that to writing the greatest tv drama ever, IMHO, of course...there must be hope for the rest of us..."
