"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"My small band of potential winners is purely based on teams who are good with both the run and receiving dept. Have never really rated Michel at the Pats as being top class and he also doesnt have any help there. Kamara isnt on his game and Murray is hardly going to have many explosive runs for the saints, so think any team with a decent defence will easily stop them, though think the niners have them this week so I may be eating my words. Like the fact it's really open though."

"Pats offence just cant do anything at the moment, been a revolving door across the Oline and at receiver and tight end all season with Edelman being the only constant but Houston just basically double teamed him all game. Hopefully if they can get Sanu and Dorestt and the tight end healthy and playing together the rest of the way while getting the 2 rookies up to speed then the offence can improve enough to just accommodate the defence and let them close games out with a lead. Looked like the defence was really impacted by the |Flu that had been going through the locker room, there were 17 players on the injury report with ""illness"" this week and could really tell the defence looked sluggish"

"I wouldn't say that any one side is nailed on at this stage. It has been an odd season - so many sides playing with back-up QBs and injury plagued, so many good sides wobbling early on and slowly grinding back into action, and a few dark horses beginning to show form and come good. The Ravens, 49ers, Patsies and Saints all look good - but history shows that, usually, some of the early frontrunners fall by the wayside because they either peak too soon, suffer big injuries or simply get found out by good coaches when it really matters. I would say there's a group of sides behind that bunch who could still emerge strongly in the play-offs: Hawks, Packers, Chiefs, Texans, Vikes. I've always been a big fan of Watson, so perhaps I'm a little biased, but I fancy the Texans will be hard to beat. Some smart cash on them as a dark horse. If I had to pick a winner right now, like many, I'd say the Ravens. But the way they play, with Jackson as free as he is, they are just one big tackle away from a proper crisis. I don't see a Mo Lewis/Bledsoe moment saving the Ravens if that happens. If a Mo Lewis turns up and knocks Jackson spark out, then it's game on for every other side in contention. Including those fecking Patsies. Unfortunately!"

Ravens definitely look the ones to beat. Jackson is as much of a running back as he is a QB.

"Definitely been an odd season. Sometimes hard to pick the overall winner, but cant really see past 2/3 teams at the moment and I'm not including the Pat's in that. They seem to be getting the injury curse which at this stage of a season is a fucking disaster and finally that legend Brady is starting to look his age :o) I pumped a few quid on the Ravens last week as they were still 13/2 and I'm not unhappy with the bet, as I think they'll have to beat the niners to collect and I'll enjoy losing the money."

"In a season of low lows, the Adam Gase Jets stooped to subterranean levels yesterday in losing to the fecking Bengals. The Bengals! West Ham could beat the Bengals. At American football. Tomorrow."

Raiders are down 31-0 to the chiefs and have gained nearly 40 more yards than the chiefs

One of the biggest ass kickings in a long timebeing dished out by the rams currently! Goff on pace to break the single game passing record which has stood for decades! If they keep letting him throw the ball!
