"And I meant first two series, not episodes. Next series is on Netflix so will give it a go once I've finished series 6 of SoA."

"It's not that you know who it is, it's just you KNOW that say, a lead that looks like it is about to pay of in episode five is pointless because there are 15 more episodes to go through. It still might be right, but not yet. The suspension of disbelief is just very long, and the thing could have been six episodes or four or whatever, not 20."

"Danish Killing or the Yank one? I've only seen the first 2 episodes of the US version and I really liked it. And I doubt you've even seen the killer by the second episode Kaks, so think again. (I can't actually remember)"

"She may be thick mentor, but she has cracking norks. Actually that may be a bit noncey, as no idea how old she was when she made the first series."

"Problem I had with The Killing (although in many ways it was brilliant) is that after a few episodes you start to think ""Well, none of this bit can be pivotal becasue there are another 16 hour-long episodes of jumperness yet"". It is great, but it's ultimately just like a really good episode of the Scandi Wallander stretched over 20 hours."

"Grumpster 6:05 Tue Mar 10 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls I thought 24 was brilliant and to this day I use Jack Bauer as a model for how to deal with any unwanted inconveniences. Thick daughter though. Not mine, his."

"Grumpster 6:05 Tue Mar 10 I'm only just getting near the end of the first series of Justified. I really like it, and I only tried it so it had Seth Bullock in it."

I thought the Blacklist was ridiculous. But at the least the doris in it made it watchable.

"Have just started watching 24 as had never seen it before. It's ridiculous, but does the job on the train as thankfully I'm able to not take it too seriously. Not a patch on Justified though which I just finished."

"After a recommendation on here I'm trying out Hell On Wheels. It's okay - bit like Deadwood Lite. Sadly it just doesn't have that high quality writing. Nobody ever mentions House on here. Watched it years ago and liked it at the time. I wouldn't have dreamt of watching a hospital drama if it wasn't for Hugh Laurie, but that one character is brilliant. Nearly jumps the shark several times in later series though."
