NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"crystal, my man louie tee (skins podcaster) yesterday spoke to Jake Ciely, one of the best fantasy players in america, who also writes for theathletic.com. the video only lasts 30 minutes, but he offers some decent tips and info https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CcWcroQaBdQ another video here of Ciely talking on the draftkings channel https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KqagW-uNuWo"

"I have lowered the pick selection tome a little too so should go a bit faster Anyone who really wants to try and study up on it should download some of the nfl fantasy love podcasts over the last couple of weeks, go into really good detail about deaft strategy and which players to target/avoid"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Reminder to all those involved that the draft for the fantasy league is this sunday! I can't remember if it's at 7 or 8pm as it was throwing a weird timezone i wasnt sure of at me when i looked last night. anyone who has the app i think it should have a countdown on there which should make it easier to clarify?

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yup - Gary Kubiak. More recently better known being the head coach of the super bowl winning Broncos in 2015, when Peyton Manning got Denver over the line and then retired. He's now back and coaching Cousins. He retired from being a head coach due to health issues, but he's had two years away now. He's quite an acquisition for the Vikes if he stays healthy and happy in that co-ordinator role. He's almost over-qualified for it."

"Kubiak is a good offensive coach for you guys. He's been away for two seasons, but he's got a fine track record."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Quite a quiet off-season for the Vikes, Cough, which is probably what you guys needed and means that they've been head down and getting on with things. All still hangs, offensively, on your man Cousins and his WR tandems. But some good moves on your coaching staff. You're going to be over the salary cap next year (2020) unless you restructure some big contracts, so that's going to be an issue for a while yet."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Really, is that what happened? Jesus - the owners sound like class acts. Going to make this year's AFC South interesting - the Colts have already had their ""suck for Luck"" campaign. Good luck ('scuse the pun) to them trying to get something to rhyme with ""Tagovailoa""."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I don't feel sorry for him but so few players get to his level that the ones do deserve what they earn. as for Colts fans booing, it was a small minority but its the ownership of the franchise who decided to leak the information to Schefter before the match. zero class"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yep, totally agree with you about his O-line, Claret. That's often what caused his repeat injuries. I don't begrudge him the cash. The money that top sports stars receive these days is obscene, of course, but the NFL is no different from Premier League football, NBA, MLB and others in that respect. I've sort of become immune to the ridiculous figures that are now involved - which is not a great stance, but it's hard not to. When the likes of West Ham and Newcastle are spending £40m on a forward the world has gone cash crazy. We're all in the wrong game."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"I feel so sorry for him, clearing $100m over 4 users etc must have been tough and then he retires over a calf issue, seriously? At the same time you have to blame the Colts because he's had a OL like the Maginot Line and they knew it and did very little about it."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah, I don't get it. Is that because he has waited until the eve of the new season (and his bonus) to announce he's retiring? The poor guy has yet more injuries and is back in pain. He's lived it since 2015 and has had enough. I don't blame him. Living with pain as a sportsman is part of the job, but there is pain and there is pain. As somebody said further down the thread, his rehabs have been agonising and he probably can't face another long climb back to fitness. He sacrificed a lot for the Colts."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"a very good qb, I thought he was going to have a big year but he's probably been in constant pain for years now and didnt fancy another schedule of re-hab when the next injury occurs. it was a shock hearing the news"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Huge blow for the Colts, that. Feel really sorry for the fella, because he had played in severe pain since 2015 (missed the 2017 season with his repaired shoulder) and it just hasn't got any better for him. Despite continued problems, he kept taking his side to the play-offs and went to the pro bowl. Was a very fine QB."

"Had him for three straight years as a keeper because he would ""get better next year"" and showed flashes of big numbers. Can move on now at least."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Shame. Great player and seemed like a good dude. Cruel amount of injuries for a quarterback.
