I heard Rogers wants a break and rest. I also heard Moyes has come out and said board and team are behind him and that we are on the cusp of a good season should we win conference and stay up. Ok I'm now putting a hit out on this bloke.

"It doesn't really stack up does it, Rodgers isn't a firefighter manager, can't see him wanting to walk into a complete mess, cleaning up Moyes' shit and a possible relegation. He would want a fresh start in the summer when the pathway is clear and he has time to plan everything before next season. Also saw a valid point yesterday that having 2 games a week now he wouldn't even have much time on the training ground to get his methods across. I suppose we will know a lot more after today's game."

"""How do you know what went so badly wrong at Leicester and Liverpool doesn't go the same way with us?"" I think Rodger's problem is he never really has the resources for the expectations of his teams in the PL. Liverpool never really spent big compared to Chelsea and Man Utd etc. Neither did Leicester really. He's had to keep solving problems creatively instead of getting the resource to solve it instead. Can't keep doing that in the PL. The most impressive thing I saw with him was to fuck off Andy Caroll even though he didn't have a striker and then use Sterling as striker whilst waiting for Sturrige. Takes a bit of guts that but he identified how he wanted to play football."

"If Rodgers did come in, im not sure why you would only give him it to him on a short-term basis, if we were to go down you couldn't really blame the bloke who only really had what about 6 to 8 weeks to try and save us? Rodgers would also be just the sort of manager who could bring us straight back up IMO, if he comes in, 2 year contract with bonus if we stay up. Won't happen though, odds on Moyes will still be here."

"I think we all want to believe it's true about Rodgers, I don't even like him that much. But if it gets that horrible cսnt away from the club I'm in."

"Thinking about this a bit more, I still think it's likely that if Moyes does go it will be a caretaker coming in until the summer, very likely from outside the club. Obviously someone like Rodgers would only come in on a long term contract, so you then have the questions is he ready now and would he want to risk managing in the championship next season? If you believe it we didn't bring in Benitez as he wanted three and a half years, but Sullivan only wanted him, at least initially, until the summer, so would that thinking change for Rodgers?"

"""How do you know what went so badly wrong at Leicester and Liverpool doesn't go the same way with us?"" I don't know if things went all that badly wrong. At Liverpool he was sacked 8 games into the season, from which they'd got 12 points, (two more than they managed in the first 8 games this season) so it wasn't a complete disaster. It was probably us beating them at Anfield which most contributed to his sacking, but we were a bit special that season. At Leicester they've been gradually selling off their best players to stay afloat since he got there, the 2nd lowest net spenders in that time. That's not really sustainable. Even then, Leicester have such an easy run in compared to the rest of the bottom 8 that sacking him seemed a bit unnecessary. What I think might be is that he had a clause in his contract that if they were in the bottom 3 he could be sacked with less compensation, so they took advantage while they could."

Rodgers would keep us up 100% . We have good players but a dreadful dreadful manager with the personality of a lettuce .

"I'm inclined to believe the Rodgers talk, and would take him for sure. It's a bit of a worry how it went with Leicester this season but that aside has a good track record, plays good football and has managed big clubs."

Never been 100% on Rodgers but I'm starting to feel he's our best hope. Maddison has sung his praises massively since leaving Leicester about the impact he's had on him as a player and person

"I've heard that he has offered Rodgers a massive bonus to keep us up and every penny made from the sales of any players will be reinvested in the summer, aka the rice money.. The suggestion is that Rodgers is keen to accept but wants assurances if we go down that he will have funds to spend to come straight back up as books will need to balanced a bit 1 year deal if we go down that he doesn't have to accept 3 year deal if we stay up"

"What would be different? We'd not give him any stick if he was English even though our form is abysmal, we play atrocious defensive football, the manager has seemingly alienated all and sundry and all this after he's spent £160m odd on players? You really need to lay off the booze."

Bilic was bloody useless and only ever looked good because Payet happened to be one of the best players in the world for a season.

"Don't disagree with any of that but it's just a complete lack of any imagination or foresight So who after Bilic back to Pelligrini again? And the i'd take him over Moyes right now just doesn't hold up anymore, id literally rather have you than Moyes right now But having said all that yes i'd be happy if Bilic was our manager next week but more because a complete sense of hopelessness right now"

"Bilic would bring a much softer touch to the squad...an arm round rather than the dour 'youre all cunts' attitude of Moyes. Plus he's a smart guy. Me that get us a decent bounce in the short term. Plus if you look at our schedule there is very little in the way of coaching time...it's relentless game after game so getting the players happy to go out there might work...plus you can't doubt the guy 'gets' West Ham. We're a better squad than the shittip Bilic was left with post-Payet too, so just maybe he could get a tune. I'd take him over Moyes right now (and if we did get relegated I'd rather have him in the hotseat to try and get us back up than Moyes too)."
