Rice equally effective with both feet? Are you having a laugh? His left foot is abysmal.

England's three best players are Bellingham, Kane and Rice. What they have on common is the ability to use both feet equally effectively. There's a lesson in that for anyone coaching young players.

Kane certainly wasn’t shit last night. His hold up play, movement and creating space for others was great. I don’t think a lot of people appreciate these things but his team mates most certainly do. Even if he didn’t do all those things he still scores goals which is what he is picked to do. Even if Pep was England manager, Kane would still get picked most games because he’s far better than any other English centre forward.

I hope this game cures Moyes of his fascination with Maguire and McTominay...

What makes me laugh is the sweats honestly thought they had a good chance in this one. The best scotch side in a few generations just got swept aside with barely a hair out of place on the England side.

I was at the game and despite being slightly worse-for-wear, I thought we were excellent. Plus I made £2 from the coins thrown at us by the rabid Scots next to the away end.

Kane was shit last night, despite his goal Played most of the game like he had a giant bratwurst up his arse That's another reason why we will never win anything under Southgate, he has no fantasy in his thinking I bet he's tried and trusted at missionary with his Mrs !

Agree we are in a really great position compared to most countries and you'd feel we have the beating on a good day of anyone. But... France have insane talent and depth at the moment. Their second team could beat most sides in world football comfortably and they got to the World Cup final missing a bunch of people. First 11 vs first 11 we definitely have a chance, and we have a right back that Mbappe can't just run past which really negates a lot of his threat. We just have to play well against them and not too defensively. They were bloody lucky to beat us in the WC actually, with more than a little help from the ref.

The idea of ringing someone and enquiring what the score was has obviously gone out the window when everyone walks around with the internet and apps on their phone ... unless you rang from a PHONE BOOTH

Didnt watch it all but a bit of a reality check for Scotland as they were utterly outclassed. As have said before with only France near any sort of top level (Germany & Italy are at a low ebb, Spain have some young talent but no more) England should be looking at another Euro final. Will say again ... Southgate has been blessed with some excellent players (Bellingham Foden Kane Rice Rashford) but is too cautious. He needs to establish a centre half instead of the plodding Maguire, bin Henderson and give chances to a Kane alternative. Whether thats Watkins , Toney or someone else he seems bullied by Kanes insistence seemingly on playing every match to rack up goals for his own personal record.

Good win, England scored four times and it was the first game in about a dozen that the Jocks failed to find the net.

Last night rang a Jock friend of mine and said "I'm out at the moment mate what was the final score". I didn't know he knew that many swear words, well I say that, I presume they were, as I could hardly understand a word he says with that fucking accent. Made me laugh though. Still at least that International shit is over now and we can get back to the real football now.

You're right swindon. Philips did play well and fits well with Rice. Dunk has an unfortunate name. I imagine he would have been more successful had he been named Wright, Romero or even Hasselhoff...

I know there is always that discussion of whether he should be picked due to his lack of game time at Man City but Phillips played quite well last night and as shown in the Euro’s him and Rice compliment each other well in that midfield. Having those 2 in midfield allows the likes of Bellingham & Foden to have more freedom further up to express themselves. Was also quite impressed with Lewis Dunk. Proper old school type defender who also looks comfortable on the ball.

Agree with those re Southgate not giving others in the squad a run out. Baffling that he gave Kane another 80 minutes considering he will always start in competitive fixtures, it must be a waste of time for other strikers to bother turning up. Also thought this was the opportunity to give someone like Maddison a chance in a central midfield three,. Him roaming, Bellingham box to box with Rice sitting would have been a better experiment than seeing Phillips pass the ball sideways for 90 minutes!

that 10%, or whatever he/she is getting must be really important to Slabhead's agent/advisor. he again looked a mess when he came on, very miserable but keep those two hundred grands a week rolling in. horseface shouldn't be picking him, but he also shouldn't be picking phillips but does. players outside his clique/favourite group have little to no chance of ever getting a game
