An utterly pointless thing to do. Fucking grown men chopping down a 150 year old tree just for a laugh. Fucking pair of morons. I mean, the fact that the tree had a preservation order and was regarded as a landmark may sway a judge to hit them a bit harder. But I doubt they will do more than six months. Some bloke on TV was saying they should get the maximum sentence for vandalism which is ten years.... But then another person said, so you think longer than some wrongun touching kids then? 

I mean, its all about balance. 

Bizarre story this, they look like a couple of yokels who didn't think it through and thought they would get away with it.
