Passed through it on the way to Sofia after being in Brasov paying homage to Dracula. Seemed ok except everyone was trying to scam us in one way or another. We caught the night train from Bucharest and there were people getting in the train with herds of goats. I kid you not. Pun intended. So we locked ourselves in the train toilet sitting in the sink with feet against the door to keep the goats away.
This was in the 90s so don’t know if it’s like that now. Like everywhere it’s probably gone into decline since.
