He's run a car crash of an organisation that's got way out of hand with so many gaffes from the Trump splicing lies to the Deathto the IDF fiasco in the summer. Another CEO Doris also gets the boot.

👏

Nothing more these days than just a Leftist propaganda machine.

Defund the BBC.

A worldwide subscription service for the full offering. Think that would be popular across Europe, America, Australia & Asia
Not sure how you restrict access to radio output but I leave that to the technical nerds
Hopefully given they would be released from the charter which requires them to cater to all audiences they can take it up market & ditch catering to morons with Eastenders
Still room for things like Traitors & obviously they have all their back catalogue of classic shows which I presume are often licenced out to UK Gold etc
Of course I would tighten up the laws of people accessing content illegally once it’s a paid service
First offence £50,000 fine & 3 years in prison.

If we start now hopefully the first massive broadcast can be coverage of the Trump paedo trial before he gets the electric chair live from Times Square
"Of course I would tighten up the laws of people accessing content illegally"

No such law.

Wonder how many millions they'll be compensating Farage with when this turns out to be true?

Everything's back to normal at the BBC.

I believe it was a full-on NAZI who said "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself."

Nice to see that aspect of politics so admirably represented here.

Of course, if you don't want people to reasonably conclude from your posts that you are a NAZI, or a NAZI sympathiser, better to avoid using NAZI propaganda tactics, don't you think?

The TV licence  was initially introduced as a stealth census. The argument was that every man and his dog would want a TV set for the new service, so this was a great way of putting names to addresses. The "fee" was simply a disguise for the real purpose, as the government would have funded the nascent BBC anyway.

At the time of introduction, it would be almost 100% breadwinner/head of the household (i.e. a MAN) who would apply for the licence ar the Post Office.

I did a month on the TV detector vans as part of my apprenticeship. TV detector man during the week, installer of (illegal) on-shore pirate radio transmitters all over London at the weekend.

I have no idea what Trump or anyone else got up to when in Esteins company but I honestly believe that if there was any SOLID proof condemning him, the Dem media would have exposed it long before now.
Interesting that they dumped it now when the BBC anti-Trump propaganda was under the spotlight. Clearly didn't want anyone looking deeper in that rabbit hole, Steele dossier..etc.

Backfired though because he covered their bet and raised them a Clinton.

If the BBC truely believes they offer an outstanding service they should back that up by opening it up to subscription. If its that good, people will gobble it up. Comes to just shy of £15 per month, many people are paying almost a score for netflix so there's the encouragement for them. This wont happen of course as taking the license away slows that gravy train right down.

I suspect that falls under the part of their remit entitled "entertainment". The condescending manner in which they "explain" things ranks alongside the best bits of Blackadder & Basil Fawlty.
