That's an interesting way to look at it. Perhaps you're right, if you're going to have three goalkeepers out of those four, it's Foderingham you'd ditch. I'd sooner have a young goalie as third choice but being optimistic I suppose we have strengthened, yeah.

Then we decide Fabianski is past it but Areola isn't good enough for Potter so we drop all that money on Mads who turns out to be worse than all of them, and rather than swallow some pride and put Areola, the best of a bad bunch, back in as number one, we re-sign someone we already said was his number two but STILL keep Mads and Foderingham. Insanity. Apart from having FOUR first team goalkeepers, something no other top flight club has ever done in this country to my knowledge, what message does this send to any of the younger goalies at the club? We may as well not have any, it's ridiculous.

Play til you are near 40 on a decent wage … when I say play I mean train with the keepers & then go home
Foderingham has had a nice holiday but I guess playing a bit in the Cyprus sunshine becomes more appealing than sitting on your arse after a while

He should have been given another year or two anyway. People are fitter and stronger than ever, and it won’t be long before you see players playing up to 50. I reckon Ronaldo will do it.
