Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Hammer and Pickle 9:23 Thu Jun 30 'I’m interested in talking about healthy forms of capitalism' No mate. You're interested in saving the stupid face which lives atop that long neck by using a word incorrectly and insisting you are using it correctly. The definition of 'capitalistm is this: Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. n.b. not communal ownership and not 'not for profit'. Fucking dolt.

"I’m interested in talking about healthy forms of capitalism like the building society movement of which Halifax is certainly a part. This is because I believe one should always be looking for creative business models that serve honest, socially beneficial purposes. No idea what you want to talk about, Pointy."

"Humpty and Pickle 8:02 Thu Jun 30 'Cheers Pointy - our view a of capitalism will tend to differ,' No, mate. Only if we allow that your idea of capiltalism is 180 degrees in opposition to its dictionary definition and its generally accepted meaning. Which we don't. We can't have a conversation if you insist on having your own unique definitions of words. That's, literally, crazy talk. The clue is 'not for profit' and having members rather than customers. The Halifax is no longer part of the building society movement. It's a bank, pure and simple. A fucking huge one as it happens. As capitalist as it gets. Others, most notably Nationwide, are still MUTUALs. Dolt. You're a fucking dolt."

Re: Woke watch
"The Building Societies' history is actually a fascinating story about how capitalism can work in favour of the cooperating members of a group, who are able to realise their interest to become property owners. https://www.bsa.org.uk/information/consumer-factsheets/general/the-history-of-building-societies No place for knuckle-dragging gammon reactionaries here though, oh dear what a shame too bad never mind."

"He/She/They were adopting the de facto face of Halifax in making that post. Perhaps a little comeback is exactly the thing required here - something like ""Fuck off out of our company and don't come back"" might get the message across"

"It was a public response on Twitter - it's not about any official ""line"". Just an admin feeling empowered to tell people to take their money away if they're bigots [I'm paraphrasing] - it's an example of how certain things are accepted as bigotry by the woke and therefore they feel they can just say things like this without any comeback."

"Hammer and Pickle 5:24 Thu Jun 30 'the Halifax, with its Building Society traditions, is perhaps a rare example of healthy capitalism.' The British building society movement (and the associated Friendly Societies) was a rare example of successful collectivism, not capitalism, you utter dolt."

Re: Woke watch
I can't actually believe this message got past the PR management team unless there's an under-story. Maybe they're about to announce that they are technically insolvent and a run on the non-woke bank customers closing account holders will cover/explain that and buy them more time.

Re: Woke watch
The issue with Halifax isn't the badges in itself. It's the reaction of the Twitter admin who felt comfortable in implying anyone criticising it was a bigot including their own customers and suggesting they move their cash elsewhere.
