"I enjoyed The Sinner, I just wish Bill Pullman would do more tv"
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Claypole I think the argument there is that the drunk chief remembered nothingnof his actions when he sobered up. But he would have remembered them when he was drunk because he was two people effectively. Very odd Whitey was a decent character in the end - butvthe weird dancing shit at the start was just so random, whilst the side story of the evil oil firm went off in an odd direction too Sortbof came together ok by then end but wasn't really worth the effort and a waste of a decent cast and good idea"

"I thought tin star was quite strange in the fact that nobody knew who each other were despite the fact that they must have met 10 years previous. Enjoying Vice principles, thought snowfall was good as well. The Vietnam doc was excellent and showed what a sneaky fuck Nixon really was."

"I agree about Tin Star, I gave up after two episodes I thought Ozark was average will watch Sinner next"
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Tin star was really disappointing If the whole thing had been like the final two episodes it may have been much better, but tonally its all over the shop - stuck somewhere between gritty and dark comedy, but none of the actors are on the same page. Tim Roth is just tim Roth-y and the actual concept of the whole thing plays out very oddly. The lack of actual emotion shown by two parents after their son is shot in front of them is also absurd"

"I enjoyed Ozark, currently half way through Mindhunter, it's a slow burner but i'm liking it. The Sinner with the lovely Jessica Biel is my favourite of the year so far."

"Currently working my way through Ozark which is quite good, will start Mindhuntet next as i have heard good things about it. Narcos has set the bar quite high for me,outstanding tv. The vietnam series on BBC4 is as good as any war docu i've ever seen. Every episode raises more and more questions, total madness from the yanks."

"Takashi Miike 3:38 Fri Oct 20 Noooo. He and Ricky are my favourites, closely followed by Bubbles and J ""irri-irri"" Rock. I won't say RIP, as it's only fitting to lovingly say ""FUCK YOU, LAHEY!"""

Narcos 3 was superb. That and Gomorrah are different level. Peaky Blinders is back soon.

"Takashi Miike 8:56 Thu Oct 19 It is absolutely fucking excellent. Considering how simple the concept is, and repetitive, in some aspects, it works so well, all the way up to the latest seasons. It really helps if you like a reefer (not a must, but it helps), and like to get drunk and fucked up, (likewise), and you know and love some proper criminal underclass types. It was underground for so many years, I thought it was a conspiracy that it wasn't on BBC, or NRK (norways BBC). Well done Netflix for picking it up."

"Almost finished Narcos 3. A series without the great actor playing Pablo was always going to be a challenge, but N3 has been superb."

I'd always avoided Trailer Park Boys but tried a couple and loved it :.)
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Been watching Madame Secretary over the last couple of weeks and just finished series one. It's a bit formulaic but well worth watching if only for Tea LeonI who is very easy on the eye.
