Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

Thanks for the recommendation of the Kominsky Method. Very nicely written and well acted dark comedy. I’m 4 episodes in already. I tried watching Manifest but has too give up. I found it pretty shit.

"Only dip in and out of this thread so it's probably been mentioned before but think Spiral is one of the best police/detective series made. The characters are really interesting and the acting excellent, if one of the characters has got a flaw or something going on in their lives, it's hinted at and you see it in their actions, rather than it being dwelt on and rammed in your face like other series. Also like the way that in each series there are a number of cases and things going on simultaneously and sometimes it's confusing and you don't at first understand all the characters motives, and sometimes even at the conclusions you still don't fully get their motives - but that's what it's like in the real world...it's never all black and white, easily explained and everything ending in a neat conclusion.....spiral captures all that really well."

"FruityBoots - just finished watching the second episode. I like the feel of it, but given there's only 8 episodes in the first series, I hope they get on with it soon"

"Found The Mandalorian on a free streaming site, first episode was brilliant and has the original trilogy feel to it. The second episode was also good although very little storyline in it, feels like the series could just be a nostalgic trip through those original film back drops with some familiar looking characters and ships. I don’t actually mind that really!"

"Grumpster 12:27 Sun Nov 17 Yeah, but f**k me - wasn't that some performance by Carlyle and the DCI Bilborough murder scene was totally traumatic."

"ancient history by current standards - but the Cracker box set is well worth a watch - Coltrane of course, but Eccleston ,Tomlinson and all the guest stars add to a great TV series."

"Watched the first episode of the Mandalorian last night too, not really huge into Star wars, maybe im a bit young but it was pretty decent, think its the flagship show for the new Disney plus service which im not sure how many people will actually pay for. Must be about 5 or 6 different services now all wanting decent subscription fees each month, this is why i download everything and have never paid for any of these services in my life."

"Gone back and watching a show called ""the night of"" which was a bbc original i think a few years ago, about a young timid guy who gets accused of murder and just how much the prison system changes him. Brilliant one off series well worth a watch for anyone."

"Just started watching Halt and Catch Fire on Amazon Prime, set in the early 80’s around a computer company building PCs to take on IBM, quite good so far. I think it’s available as a complete series, there’s 4 seasons between 2014-2017."

"Watching 'Wayne' on YouTube premium. Funny as fuck, reminds me a bit of Kickass. Very strange and well written. First episode is free. Then the rest of them are free too- if you know where to look."

"Johnny - Yep, it's only 20 episodes catch up so I'm gonna stick with it. I am very fussy on what I start on, if I'm literally going to invest many hours watching a show it can't just be okay, like many of them are."
