"New Jersey 3:24 Mon Mar 15 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls How to ruin your Sunday night, watch us lose then watch Bloodlands, fucking rubbish! Worst thing i've watched in years. Can't stand Nesbitt. So wooden, acting skills consist of shout and staring into space. Plot full of wholes, not least the 3 main suspect, 3 coppers, were still the 3 cops leading the investigation."

The second series wasn't as good as the first but it was pretty decent once it eventually got going.

"I really liked Altered Carbon - once I finally realised what the fuck was going on. The writing can be ropy but it's a decent, high budget sci-fi concept with great worlds and some sublime minge. Naturally, as soon as Netflix clocked that I liked it, they cancelled the 3rd series."

Manuel 9:43 Mon Mar 15 Not true as a lot of series mentioned on here I haven't seen. Also I never watch soaps or reality TV like most on here. I just find the best new and up and coming stuff as proved many times like Zerozerozero ages ago.

"Swiss. 4:42 Sun Mar 14 ''I started watching Debris some alien shit. Don't bother'' Don't worry I won't. I suppose you have watched everything under the sun now, son. And is it true that you get square eyes if you watch too much tv?"

"Just finished watching the Italian drama 1992 (and its sequels 1993 & 1994) on Sky Atlantic. It's about corrupt politics and the rise of Berlusconi but focuses mainly on a handful of fictional characters who are amoral, obsessive or self destructive. Faster paced and with more sex and crime than most series about politics, it's highly recommended. If you're bothered by subtitles, the series also features a former Miss Italy beauty queen getting her kit off a lot in one of the lead roles, so you can just watch it for the eye candy."

"Nurse Ratched 2:00 Tue Mar 9 Searching for Sugarman is superb. It won the Oscar for best doc, if I recall. Another Oscar winner and just as brilliant is Banksy's Exit through the Gift Shop. I'm coming to the end of season 2 of Mindhunters. It's been very good but there are a couple of very implausible plotlines in S2 that detract."

"...unlike the dimwits he surrounded himself with. None of them even a TAD suspicious that one bloke just happens to keep finding all these important, expensive documents? The wife: ""Yeah, he had this room he kept locked. I wasn't allowed in there. He'd spend hours alone in there. No, I didn't ask him what he was up to"" All thick as mince. Except the whispery bloke. Dodgy bastard. I am convinced he knew the documents were being forged, at the very least."
