"Yeah i'm another for Hijack. Not a fan of Slow Horses, but It's good to see British TV get a bigger production budget on par with US."

Sold people just do nothing is superb. The one where they open up a nightclub is brilliant.

I’ll look forward to them. Thanks. As said the books are well worth a gander.

"jfk - Yep it's good, but after the first 2 episodes, which I thought were pretty tense, I thought it tailed off a little with the run of the mill car chases and punch up's etc, but that's probably me over analyzing it. I think series 3 is out end of year, a fourth series has been confirmed too."
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Manuel, thought both series were top notch so much so I’ve read the Mick Herron books where Jackson Lamb(Oldman) is even more obnoxious.Highly recommended. Hope a third series is imminent."

"Slow Horses - Finished series 1, it's decent but it started to get what I would call ''a bit ''silly'' with some unrealistic scenes/story-lines, etc, but it's good enough to continue with."

My daughter got us in People Just do Anything... about dickheads who run a pirate radio station in Brentford... some serious LOLing very reminiscent of the Office... their Asian manager is one of the funniest fuckers on TV. 5 series all on iplayer.

I was late in watching Evacuation as well. Thought it was excellent. Read about it everyday it was going on and watched news footage too. The graphics in Evacuation though… Just absolute respect for those who had to deal with and help with all that.

"Watched the Sixth Commandment on BBC last night, excellent! Timothy Spall will win a BAFTA or whatever the fuck for TV. He's come along way from Auf Wiedersen (not sure on spelling)."

I’m watching the new Jack Ryan. I hadnt watched the previous ones but doesnt seem to matter. Its a load of old nonsense but I’m entertained by it. Its difficult to say why but the good and evil are not all predictable.

Yup agreed Evacuation is one of the best things I have seen on TV in a long long time... harrowing as hell and as I said at the time of us pulling out... probably one of our most shameful episodes in our proud history.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Evacuation is excellent but hard to watch at times. The Taliban are brutal.
